"Best place for families to stay! We stayed at the villas on the green in what was more like a spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Clean, huge comfy bed, giant jet tub, well stocked kitchen, large balcony, and TVs in the living room and bedroom. I wish they had more information via email or the website about the property and amenities before arrival. There are several pools, a water slide, fishing pond with free fishing equipment, golf and free golf club rentals, activities like s'mores around the fire pit and trivia, a rec room, and restaurants on site. Super clean, very friendly staff, parking included, and beautiful natural surroundings. It was about 40min in light traffic to Legoland and 30 to the Safari Zoo park. 15-20min drive to nearest grocery store. Cons: lack of information provided about the property and amenities and I found it near impossible to get a hold of the front desk/ concierge by phone and they take forever to respond to text requests. I had to call about a couple things before the trip and was on hold over 10 minutes 3 times I called and they didn't pick up any of the times we called from the room phone when they were there. They responded to the text messages through the number they provided about very simple things but not for more specific requests (we didn't have many). Though staff were super helpful and friendly when we did get a hold of them. I think they do timeshare presentations with incentives to attend but they weren't pushy at all about attending. "

"The staff (Eric) was welcoming, professional and answered all my questions/concerns. The room was nice, clean and they provide free coffee in the lobby all day. There was a lady in training with Eric (sorry, I forgot her name) that also very helpful! I recommend this hotel, and will definitely come again! "

"Our first room had a cute little back yard. But it was really dirty, bathtub was stained or unclean, a dead cockroach was on the floor, and tape on the curtains. There was a horrible smell by the beds. Staff was kind, they moved us to another room. However this room had black mold growing in the corner of the ceiling above the bed. Staff again was kind and immediately moved us to another room and comped our parking. This room was in better condition and felt like it had been updated at some point, not impressive, but better condition than the other two rooms. "

"The hotel was amazing. This was my first time staying at Ayres property as I had been wanting to for a while so when I saw the location and rates, I knew I had to take advantage of the deal. We stayed in one of the suites, which came with a cute little patio. It was perfect for sitting down with a cup of coffee and a good book, or just enjoying some quiet time with beautiful mountain and lake views. The pool was heated & located in a separate area, which actually made it feel more quaint and relaxing. I really appreciated that they also had plenty of snacks and drinks available for purchase, so you don’t always have to leave the hotel if you don’t want to. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable which made the stay even more relaxing. The breakfast was just average with a limited selection, but the service from the staff member preparing it was excellent and made up for it. Overall, I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Mission Viejo!"

"Our entry door had issues. Handle was broke, it worked 50% of the time. They have a top not maintenance guy who showed us a trick to get it open most of the time, he was great. You'd think they'd fix something like this for security reasons if anything."

"Great resort with several amenities and lot of space to walk. A central lake very relaxing to observe. The staff was taking take care you have a great temperature in the hot springs. It was great and cozy at night. Hot springs are open all day. We stayed at the lakeside lodge and it was in general a very relaxing experience. I will definately go back. "
