Emana Akatara

"Staying at the Emana Akatara hotel was truly wonderful. The room was so spacious, beautiful and clean and very relaxing. The pool area was relaxing and wonderful - and right next to the bar, so you can easily order drinks and snacks. However was really sets the hotel apart from anywhere else is the FANTASTIC staff, who all wanted to make sure you have the best time and made me feel so welcome. They are the most lovely young people I’ve meet in a very long time. They really represent Balinese culture so well, by their kindness, helpfulness and friendliness. Always asking how my day has been. They have a list of different activities you can go on, and I went on a bike trip around local villages, rice fields and nature. It was such an amazing day out. I had a really relaxing stay at the Emana Akatara. Special shoutout to Leena, Ayu, Anggi, Komang, Gung Radit, Okta, Desal, Adel, Bayu and Dena. You are all superstars and I can’t wait to come back."

"Askari was an absolutely tranquil retreat. The courtesy and kindness of the staff is immediately evident upon arrival. Throughout the resort from housekeeping, restaurant staff and groundskeepers, everyone was always pleasant. They always made an effort to greet you by name. The atmosphere of the resort is magical. The sound of water everywhere is so peaceful. The food was delicious. If you’re looking for a peaceful and tranquil retreat, I would absolutely recommend Askari."
Sanna Ubud A Pramana Experience

"We have found our little piece of heaven. From the minute we arrived to a lovely welcome and tour of the beautiful hotel and facilities to the moment we left two weeks later it’s been outstanding in every way. Our Butler Valley Pool Villa was amazing with its own pool sitting amongst the jungle with the river running in the background was kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team morning and night, they were all so friendly helpful and unobtrusive The whole hotel staff knew our names and made us feel part of a family nothing was ever too much trouble Vanara restaurant which we frequented for both breakfast and evening meals served delicious and authentic foods offering a variety of Indonesian asian and western foods, the service from the restaurant team was again second to none and attentive The spa set above the river is so serene and relaxing and provides amazing treatments to suit everyone The bars serve drinks using well known international brands and we have also discovered some lovely Bali made wines which we will be trying to source upon our return home then the UK The way the hotel has been designed and built within the natural habitat is very sympathetic and is simply beautiful despite the obvious challenge to maintain the site is kept spotlessly clean and presented immaculately We will definitely be returning to our little piece of heaven on earth"

"We stayed at 4 hotels in Bali and this was the BEST! Super good deal for the luxury you get, everything was WOW and the food at their restaurant was amazing. The only bad thing was that the hot water in the shower would run out after a few minutes, you’ll have to wait for it to heat up again."

"We loved staying at this property however the restaurant only served a buffet style dinner predomantly Indian food that did not suit us. Staff explained the reason was due to a fire in the kitchen earlier in the wèek. If we had known we would not have booked our stay at that time. This information was not provided when booking or checking in"
Bambootel Sawah View

"We absolutely loved the Bambootel, it was absolutely beautiful, the service was outstanding and we would definitely stay again. Both the villas and the grounds are immaculate, the staff cannot do enough for you and we found the food at both breakfast and the restaurants really good. Theres plenty to keep you occupied with daily shuttles into Ubud, daily rice terrace walks, frequent yoga and a fully stocked gym."
