"The hotel is extremely well maintained and captures the beauty of old Charleston. There are public verandas and a beautiful outdoor courtyard to enjoy their 5:30 complimentary wine and cheese or the 8:30 cookies and milk or port wine. The complimentary charcuterie of cheeses and meats includes premium cuts of prosciutto and artisanal cheeses, and the wine selection includes 4 varieties; 2 red & 2 white. The breakfast also had a variety of selections with something for everyone including eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, overnight oats and much more. The staff are extremely pleasant and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. The rooms carry a spa collection of soaps, and hair products as well as a cute little scent spray for your pillow (sooo nice!) If you're the type who enjoys white noise or music to fall asleep, there is a sound machine on the nightstand. Also on the nightstand is a blue light sanitizing box for your phone! All this in a room of beautiful furnishings and a pillow menu to guarantee a great night of sleep! Be sure to visit the lobby bar where the bartender specializes in making an old fashion or espresso martini! All these amenities added to our full days of exploring the history of Charleston made for an unforgettable visit."

"This hotel was comfortable and in a great location. Nice pool and outside bar area. Good little coffee shop right on property. When we arrived we were told our one room we had booked had a leak so they gave us two rooms complimentary. That was a nice touch and it was greatly appreciated! Overall I’d recommend this hotel!"

"The Loutrel had attentive staff, beautiful lobby and an overall great experience. The mezzanine room was a great lounge for our group to get together stocked with snacks and large tv. We rented the included bikes and biked all over Charleston. We ordered a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine which was delivered to the well appointed rooftop. Highly recommend the hotel and will be back!"
