"Unfortunately from arrival it didn’t start well. Prior to arrival we were given a discounted parking code that had expired and was told on arrival that they no longer give codes out despite giving an expired code via email before arrival. Room is dated and needs an upgrade. Bed was very soft and uncomfortable. Cleanliness wasn’t great but we ignored it as we weren’t in the room long. Breakfast was ok, but overall poor and wouldn’t stay again."

"Check in was easy and the reception staff said let them know if I needed anything. I wanted green teabags and asked for them over 2 days about 4 times. Eventually, Georgia, the reception supervisor, put them in the room herself, so I had them for my last evening…… I’d asked for a walk-in shower but the water was lukewarm, and, although they said it had been fixed, it hadn’t, so two disappointing showers in 2 days! The room was clean but the floor was a bit gritty (I was barefoot as I don’t wear shoes indoors) but otherwise a corporate room, plenty of space and adequate lighting and quite nice biscuits. I can’t understand why quality hotels only offer instant coffee in the rooms though! After checkout, while I was waiting to leave for my train, Georgia very kindly found me a nice place to sit. Would I stay there again? Not sure, but it is a few mins walk from the National Museum of Wales, which is why I chose it."

"I stayed in the attic room and it was exceptionally clean. The shower did suddenly go cold the morning of leaving, luckily I was nearly done. I like that you don't have to mess around with check in, they just send you a code to get in to the building and to your room. Big plus on having a couple of oat milks in the room, that's rare. Bed is comfortable and the TV is a smart one so you can login to your accounts. I think another table for the tea/coffee/kettle would be better than it being on the only bedside table. Unfortunately I didn't get chance to see the pub because it closes quite early on weekdays (2230 I think) and I got back from my show around then. Really good place to stay as a solo traveller. There aren't constant staff but there are numbers to call if you need help. 10am check out is far too early"

"Parking a bit tight if honest, down a narrow back lane, with rubbish . Lovely room, good comfortable bed, but a large damp patch was very visible on ceiling No shop nearby, have to walk few 100 yds Good bus link to town center"
