"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

Loved this place and it was a good price. We were close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy in a cabin near the small campground that was wooded and private with a porch. The cabin had great cable tv options and a warm, fireplace insert. Cabins were comfortable and clean (rustic with modern bedroom). I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. When we first arrived, I was not wowed by the lobby but our room was wonderful. It was updated and very clean. The cleaning crew went the extra mile. The breakfast was not the best.
