"The Castle House is very conveniently located and reasonably priced. Our room was gorgeous, including a wonderful tub for a relaxing bath and a huge, comfortable, fancy bed. Breakfast was delicious and packed lunches were available for us C2C hikers. Our only small gripe was that the hosts were not available in the evening to help us with laundry, but I would still recommend staying here!"

"The Holly Inn is conveniently located outside of Richmond town center across the river valley - walking distance if you can handle the hill. The views of Richmond and the surrounding area are amazing. There is plenty of car parking for the accommodation, pub and restaurant on the same site. The room and bathroom was clean, spacious and warm. The bed was huge - two doubles together (maybe?). Sadly a missing air vent cover on the floor to ceiling window meant a cold draught blew through the thick curtains; a face flannel blocked the hole until morning. A generous checkout time of 11AM was a welcome buffer - though we vacated long before that; the check-in time (I forget what) was similarily convenient. The mini-fridge in the room was a nice touch with two bottles of water in it; it could have been repurposed for milk or medication. The attached pub/bar was friendly and welcoming for local humans and dogs as well as guests. The continental breakfast was disappointing: little food, little choice and poor service of hot drinks due the focus being on cooked breakfasts (extra supplement, not really worth it): sadly no MacDonalds or IKEA in easy reach and little parking close to the Whetherspoons across town. Next time we will bring our own."

"Very central with residents' parking accessed from Victoria Road. Popular with (friendly) locals and visitors. Staff very pleasant and our twin room (10) was clean and comfortable (2 flights of stairs a bit of a trial for me - not a criticism!). An "occasional" chair would have been useful, the shower room was very good (rainfall shower not our favourite). Proper, reasonably priced, pub food in the evening and for breakfast help yourself to juice, tea, coffee, cereals, toast with cooked food made to order (£14.99pp). Altogether this suited us very well, we would choose to stay again."

"Middle Row Cottage Richmond is a delightful property. Its location is second to none - literally 3 mins walk to the Market Square. The master bedroom is spacious and the shower excellent.Middle Row has a very homely and comfortable feel, whilst still offering all the mod cons.The parking arrangements (parking discs and permits) are really well thought out - given the general issues with parking in the UK. Parking was not an issue at all.Thank you Carole for your prompt responses to our initial questions whilst settling in... we were made to feel very welcome and supported.We love Yorkshire and can see ourselves returning to Middle Row again."
