"This is an amazing place to stay - beautiful grounds with flowers, trees and well-tended lawns, a wonderful pool, and clean comfortable accomodations. We rented a 2-bedroom apartment with a kitchen and dining space - it was quiet and very private, with a patio in front and back, and just steps to the pool. The whole property feels very private and luxurious but is not at all stuffy or formal. Among the very best hotels we've stayed in anywhere in the world."

"We stayed at Le Grand Monarque, Azay-le-Rideau for 3 nights. Everything was great: central location, large room, very quiet and they have a parking location near by. "The reception was outstanding. We arrived early and were made to feel most welcome. The room is large, modern and lovely. Everything is first class, bedding, towels , etc. Breakfast was great and plenty of options. The hotel is a pleasant short walk from the old town centre. Parking is very limited but not an issue. There always seems to be free street parking right outside the hotel. A lovely stay all round."
