"A lovely little stay in the Cambridgeshire countryside. It's pretty basic but once you've got the heater going, it's lovely. A beautiful lake to look out onto with parking next to you, it's pretty decent. "

"Really nice cottage style property with a log burner and really comfy beds. Only warning would be the stairs as they're pretty steep and the bathroom is downstairs if you need to get up in the middle of the night."

"Lovely comfortable cottage, well equipped in pretty village. Nice pub (Dog & Duck) within walking distance, good food and range of beers, plus lovely coffee shop close by. Recommended."

"This is an historic cottage that is full of old world character but with all mod cons. It had a wonderful garden with lighting enhancing its beauty at night. We stayed for a week which allowed us to both visit my son’s family and go on trips to Ely and Cambridge - as well as exploring Saffron Walden itself, to which this property is very central. "We really enjoyed our stay - it was perfect for our family of 4 and our plans. The reason for 4, rather than 5, stars was due to a couple of things. At night, there was no blind for the front door so no way for privacy - neighbours could look straight in. We cooked each night but there were no oven gloves (we would have been happy to bring some if we only knew). Your water gets amazingly hot and we felt some kind of warning is needed, especially when small children are staying. These things are...
