"Liked the breakfast and beer garden restaurant for lunch. We had a room with a great view of the harbor and received 2 drink tickets with our booking. Parking was inconvenient-garage was expensive and street parking was limited. We had to feed the meter at 8 am. Blackout curtains could have been better… pull down blinds would have helped"

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Stay in Iceland We had a truly wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Iceland. The room was exceptionally spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. One of the highlights of our stay was the private jacuzzi, which was beautifully maintained and provided a relaxing experience after a day of exploring Iceland’s incredible nature. The cleanliness throughout the property was outstanding, and the attention to detail was evident everywhere. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. There was a wide variety of high-quality options, and everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Every member of the team was friendly, professional, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Their hospitality made our stay even more memorable. Thank you for making our visit to Iceland such a pleasant experience. We would be delighted to stay here again on our next trip. Highly recommended!"

"Great care was taken in designing the room. Plenty of places to hang items. Plug ins in many locations. Shelves. The seating bench near the window was fashionable and useful. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was quiet. The breakfast was ample and fresh. The staff were cheerful and helpful. Well done!"

"Ok. The hotel is quite worn on the outside, pool was dirty, one hot tub was not working, the second one was. Breakfast was ok, just a few offerings but the view was good. We were in a family room, faced the parking lot instead of the creek and hillside. Sad. Bathroom was small with the smallest sink i have ever seen. Hot water was plentiful. Our enterance door lock did not engage to shut but our deadbolt did. Thank goodness. But the door did not close all the way because the weatherstripping was all torn up and did not create a good seal. Check in was slow. Receptionest was on the phone conducting some business for the 5 minutes I waited in front of her. Completely ignore me. Once done, she checked me in and told me my room number, telling me to walk up till I see the pool, and it is arround the fence. Yep. I found it! For the price I paid, I was expecting more."

"Here’s a more polished, slightly posh-British version with that warm, gracious travel-review tone: I rather embarrassingly managed to book my stay for the wrong day and only realised my mistake upon arriving at the hotel. The front desk staff could not have been more kind or accommodating. Although the hotel was unfortunately fully booked, they happily stored my luggage while I worked out an alternative plan, and even offered use of the shower should I decide to head straight to the airport. Sadly, because the booking had been made through Hotels.com, neither they nor the hotel were able to cancel or amend the reservation. Nonetheless, the receptionist went above and beyond — she even contacted a guest who had not yet arrived, as there was one remaining reserved room, to see whether they still intended to check in. The level of service at CityHub Reykjavik was simply sublime. I stayed here previously and found it wonderfully comfortable, and this experience only reinforced my impression. Exceptional hospitality and genuinely lovely people. A tiny lapse in my planning; a masterclass in customer service."
