"Family of 6, stayed 1 night as pitstop. There is nothing to do in that area for my 2 teenage boys, but o really served its purpose. Clean, comfy and decent breakfast. Casino was nice but closed at 10pm. Would stay here again for a night or 2. Not much to do for teens though. Would be nice to add arcade or outdoor activities for teens."

"We arrived late but let them know and received clear instructions. Breakfast was fresh and we loved the baked treats! Staff is super kind and helpful. Highly recommend and would stay again!"

"The staff is friendly and welcoming. They had suggestions for nearby hikes and dining. Breakfast at the Inn is delicious. We sat in the common area in the evenings and visited with other guests, sharing our day plans and travel tips."

"It was perfect! Also bonus of Elk herd outside. Watched them all evening from dining room and living room. It is a great place! Mojo pizza was good as well."

"I wanted to say everything was excellent but the link wouldn’t let me! The cabin was in an absolutely lovely setting, very private. Beautiful grounds. Our only visitors were 3 deer on the lawn. Beds were comfy and kitchen and bathroom well stocked. Perfect location, close to beaches and town. Not much of an ocean view, more like a peek. But a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The hot tub was a definite plus after taking a 3 hour kayak tour, which I highly recommend. Make sure you go to Cal Poly’s Marine Lab in Trinidad. There’s an extremely social octopus named Ringo that you can get up close and personal with. Our only suggestion is more comfortable seating in the living area. Very easy communicating with the host. Highly recommend this rental."
Beautiful Cottage in the Heart of the Redwoods

"The Ken(u) Cottage was perfect for our small family reunion (3 of us) for 5 days. The Host was so accommodating, helpful and easy to communicate with. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything you might need is there, with the exception of your food, drinks, clothing. There is a washer and dryer available, and they will also provide needs for a baby/small child (like highchair and other items) check with them on that. It's pet friendly, I believe it's up to 3 dogs. They must be under your control, particularly because of wildlife in the area. We didn't encounter that during our stay. It's located central to most visited locations in northern California. Very convenient. It felt like we were at home. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sofa with a pull-out bed. Staying here will always be a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Heart of the Redwoods!We visited the Trees of Mystery, several stops with areas of historic sites and points of interest, like a WWII Radar Station, the Hoopa Valley, we dined at the Sunset Grill, the Seaquake Brewery in Crescent City, breakfast at Toni's in Arcata, off track from the normal we crossed from Hoopa to the coast via Bald Hills Road (beautiful sunsets above the clouds. So much more to see in this area!"
