The pool is freezing cold, and they only tell you once you check in that it’s $150 per day to heat it. The only way to get the hot tub turned on and off is to call the property manager and have them do it remotely. It took about three hours to get it up to temp on the first car. "We had a really nice stay. The only thing that would have made it better would be some cleaning tools. I'm pretty clean, but there wasn't a broom or vacuum. There also wasn't a net for the pool, which was kind of annoying with a toddler who loved throwing his toys in the pool. No backup of toilet paper either."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Whitewater. The location is 40 minutes to Joshua Tree, but a world away from a busy life. The house is a combination of cozy rustic and funky mid-century. To be honest, we enjoy the rustic more than the funky, but it was still delightful. The bathroom/tub set up might be a bit uncomfortable if you’re sharing the house with another couple, but the tub itself is huge and provides a lovely soak. "The house was beautiful. Unfortunately it was located in an area of many dogs that barked from 5am to 9pm. We had issues with the property charging us extra to heat the pool. They never did heat it over the standard heat and charged us for it regardless. I tried to get a refund but nothing. We also experienced a clogged shower and a broken ice maker.
