This is a gorgeous lodge with incredible staff; delicious meals; comfortable and well designed rooms; a very small number of guests to keep the experience intimate; and a once in a lifetime safari opportunity with extremely knowledgeable guides.

Such a magical experience. The staff was incredible and really was the reason this was a memorable trip. Hayden was an incredible guide. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and outgoing nature made each day more enjoyable. We saw all big 5 including seeing all 5 during one day. We were very lucky to experience a lion pride kill as well. Also, the food was incredible at all meals. Can’t recommend this place enough! Incredible value overall for what you get.

We stayed at Geigers Canp for our honeymoon after our initial lodge closed due to flooding, and could not have been happier with our stay!
The property is rustic, beautiful, and well kept and the staff are very kind and welcoming. Every aspect of our stay at the property (especially the food) was excellent.
We also had the team of Josh and David as our guide/tracker for the game drives and had an amazing experience, with plenty of Big 5 sightings along with many other exciting animals that...

Simbavati Hilltop is top notch! From the 9 times per day (yes, that is NINE times) that you are fed, to the staff, game drives, views and rooms! Not only do you have your own plunge pool overlooking the river, but there is also a shared, larger pool. There is also a daybed at the room, outdoor shower, fully stocked complimentary mini bar and very comfortable bed!
We saw hippo and elephant from our room. On game drives, lions feasting on a giraffe, hyena and wild dogs interacting, 2...

We stayed in what are called "tents" but are actually much nicer including a complete bathroom, minibar, a/c, overhead fan, etc. The staff was wonderful, nice small pool, food good. Oh, the animals -- unbelievable.
We stayed 4 nights at roughly $515/night, worth every penny, and had a great time on all the drives. Didn't get bored for a second.

If you want to experience the real Africa, this is the place for you. This was our first trip to Aftrica. The staff make all the difference here. We saw so much in three days and learned so much more, even about the ones we didn't see.
The "room" is a tent on a platform with a toilet and hot water showers. The food is outstanding. No electricity, but everything you need. Our travel arrangements from Johannesburg and back were made by the camp and timed perfectly. We thought it was a 'once in a...

We stayed at Simbavati Camp George. The staff at the lodge were fantastic. The guide Alex was very knowledge and entertaining. He made efforts to teach us about wildlife and birds. The food was delicious and the menu was different every night. Simbavati lives up to their reputation. We will be back, They gave us a simbavati water bottle as a souvenir.

Kapama Karula exceeded our expectations in a significant way! The photos online do not do justice to the beautiful rooms, common areas and safari experience. My husband and I stayed there last week for our honeymoon and were truly amazed at the quality of service, the cleanliness and especially the food. The food quality was 5 star + and we were very impressed with the range of choices for the meals. Aside from the accommodations, the safari drives were fantastic. We always had the same ranger...

Everything was as pictured. Glamping tents were good. Animals did roam the grounds. Always felt safe though. And most importantly the safari drives were amazing! If you are lucky you will get Vestment - he was the absolute best!!! Definitely recommend.

The trip was amazing. We were supposed to stay at Imbali, but we got a cancellation text day of check-in. We ended up staying at Tintswalo Lodge instead. Dave and Eric were our guide and tracker. They are amazing people and we learned so much from them. It was my wife's birthday and one day we went back to out room and a gift was waiting for her. We want to thank everyone at Tintswalo for making our stay so memorable. We feel like part of the family and look forward to seeing them again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay with Honeyguide Tented Safari Camp. We had four amazing game drives guided by the very knowledgeable Anton and our tracker, Johnson. They, and the rest of the staff, really made an effort to take care of our comfort and questions. They even found olives for my martini in the bush!!! We had wonderful close encounters with four of the "big five" including a couple of elephants drinking from the plunge pool near where we had lunch. The platform tents were...

We stayed at the suite and were delighted with the accommodations. The game drives were insanely interesting and the guides were top notch! Although it is a closed reserve, it is big enough to get a real sense of being in the wild, and you are almost guaranteed to see the big 5 (minus the leopard if you're not lucky, we were!) The animals almost don't notice you and behave naturally, a truly amazing experience!

We had a fantastic experience at Bushbaby River Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Communication with the staff was seamless, ensuring everything was perfectly arranged even before our arrival.
The breakfast options were delightful, offering a variety of choices such as waffles, pancakes, French toast, and a classic English breakfast—something for everyone to enjoy. The heat pump/air conditioner worked flawlessly, making our stay comfortable regardless of the...

Loved visiting Leopard's Lair - the setting is excellent on the "other" end of Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate and on the Mohlabetsi river - it really feels secluded and more "in the bush".
The rooms are large and beautiful with the patio/balcony and outdoor showers. The team is excellent - our host and property manager Sonja was warm and wonderful and had so many great suggestions about Hoedspruit (all her food recommendations were perfect!).
