My family of four stayed in this lovely inn at the end of December 2015. We were looking for a place to stay between attending a Manchester United Football game and visiting the English countryside. We stayed at the Village Hotel on 2 occasions. I was in town visiting family. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. From check in to check out, I also enjoyed the Pub downstairs. The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. There is a pool and gym here, however, I did not use either of those facilities. My family members used the pool and really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again while in the UK.

Great property, reasonably priced, comfortable and clean room. Kitchenette was great and the bathroom was lovely. I found the bed to be incredibly comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great, plenty of choices, and allergens were labeled for all items; separate space for gluten-free items. Bedroom was clean .. only thing I could suggest is having a phone for housekeeping such as needing toilet roll extra otherwise need to go down to reception .. check in and checkout was fairly easy no hassle .. tea and coffee was also downstairs and unlimited - good feature but can make it bit easier if had kettle in the room .. also was advised tap water was drinkable .. maybe a filtered water machine could be a great asset.
