Dining was very good which is nice since the lodge is a bit out of the way from other options. Good location - not too far from San Jose and close to the Poas Volcano National Park and not far from the La Paz Waterfalls."

"This was an inexpensive option for our family to stay in Sarapiqui. The property is interesting because of the covered pathways and proximity to two miles of rainforest trails, and we spied frogs, howler monkeys, iguana, caterpillars, etc. Breakfast was wonderful. There is no air conditioning or hot water, which was fine for us. Wet clothes will take a looooong time to hang dry. We are a family of 6, and I thought from photos that we would likely have a room with bunk beds. Instead we were given...

"This is a charming resort. Please don’t expect five star luxury but the facilities are very nice and the team extremely friendly. They cater for larger groups but that was not a problem. The area has some wonderful walks and wildlife - although unfortunately we did not see any sloths. "
