"We loved our brief stay here. The staff were very friendly & the rooms were comfortable & clean. Very nice breakfast served with plenty of choice too. 5-10 walk to the sea, cannot fault a thing. If we visit Torquay again we’ll stay here. "
"The Capri hotel is a loveley place for families! Very nice hosts in a familiar atmosphere near to the Torquay city. 10-15 minutes by feet. About 5-10 minutes to the train station."
"The hotel had just been open a few days after being closed for 8 months. The building is shabby & our room was worse. There were stains on the carpet & upholstery. The bathroom was nice as it looked as if it had been upgraded recently. There was no ac & we could only open the window a few inches. We had a very small fan, inadequate. The sun shone on our window most of the day. It was hot!"
"Staff were fantastic, could not do more to help you. Food was lovely. Room was very basic, but clean, only thing I would suggest is to place fans in the room as it was extremely hot. Other than that I would stay there again. "

"The hotel was on the sea front, rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a walk in shower. Breakfast was good and the evening meal was very tasty. The price was reasonable and I’d recommend this hotel"
"Arrived and greeted by the most incredibly kind staff. They really couldnt have given us any more to make us feel welcome. Want to give a huge thanks to Robin on reception. My husband has a neck injury and the staff even offered to get pain medications from the local Pharmacist for us.
The food in 1881 resturant within the grand hotel was delicious and served by Felix. What a kind gentleman he was also. Even making my young boy happy by giving him free mocktails!
Both inside and outsoor pools area great addition to our stay, the breakfast is tasty and always left each morning with full bellies. We will definitely be coming back. We were so sad to leave today. Thank you all for a wonderful stay "

Love the views of Torbay and the internal architecture and furnishings of the hotel. It was a shame that the outdoor pool was closed but enjoyed the indoor pool / spa facilities."
