"The hotel is in a fabulous location …walkable to shops and restaurants. The husband and wife at the front desk were amazing and so helpful. We had a very early departure and they even set up coffee and danish for us before we left. Highly recommend!"
"Unusual hotel that would have been amazing back in the day but now needs a lot of TLC
however the rooms were clean but furniture a bit tatty.
I would not consider it a 4 star hotel
It would benefit from tea making facilities in the room and abolishing the single use shower gel which are so not good for the environment.
It would also be nice to have a bench or table outside the room as the bar/ cafe area is not v inviting.
The pool was lovely and we often had it to ourselves but needed a bit of a clean round the edges
We ate in the restaurant once, the pasta was good but my spaghetti was dry and hard. This was disappointing considering it was our most expensive meal.
There are however lovely local family run restaurants in the local towns only a few minutes drive away
Breakfast was simple but nice.
We did not have time to use the spa
We enjoyed our stay despite the above but it is a bit quirky and certainly needs a lot of updating."
"Rooms are clean and comfortable except the carpet is a bit old. Location if perfect. Can walk to the Centro and paring if free from 7 pm to 9 am in the morning. We paid the parking meter for a couple hours before heading out."
"Pros: great position in the historical city centre at walking distance from all main landmarks, parking available close by, staff very helpful. Breakfast included, at a local bar with vouchers
Cons: we faced two main issues.
1. The room was too humid, also with the dehumidifier/ aircon on the whole time. Humidity made bedsheets, clothes and towels very wet and towels didn't dry properly overnight despite weather being hot. The room was therefore pretty uncomfortable to sleep in
2. There were a huge number of coachroaches immediately outside our room, in an external space (chiostro). It needs to be mentioned that the staff tried their best to sort it out but nothing made a material change and it was pretty uncomfortable, also because we had to keep the entrance door closed, limiting the air circulation even more."
"One of the most lovely hotels I have ever stayed at. From check-in onwards, the staff was AMAZING – it was hard to leave as they felt like friends, and always had a smile on their faces. The room was gorgeous with a nice shower and great A/C. The breakfast was also wonderful. Would 100% stay here again, and would go out of my way to experience their hospitality."
"Palazza Belsanti is a gem & in a great location to the historic area. It’s spotlessly clean, & the beds have quality mattresses & bedding etc. The included breakfast was amazing & with so much delicious food, prepared by two sisters whom own the place with their brother. So much personal care has gone into Palazza Belsanti for its guests. I’ve stayed there on two trips & want to go back! Love this place & love the three siblings who run it."
"Love staying here and will definitely return again! The staff, the breakfast, the location and the vibe of this hotel is the best. Safe neighbourhood and loved the lockers available to store luggage."
Patria Palace Hotel Lecce - Leading Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"The excellence of your staff is remarkable They exceeded my expectations in their willingness to assist, problem solve when necessary and do everything seamlessly and pleasantly. Exceptional professionalism was exhibited particularly by Asia at the front desk and a young woman(a colleague) who assisted us on our arrival date, May 21st.
Angelo, who went above and beyond helped to locate us and get us to the Patria Palace. He was courteous, efficient and literally saved us in our attempt to arrive and depart from your establishment. He continued to make sure our stay was pleasant as did Asia. Helpful at all times.
Your staff’s exemplary attention to detail was impressive as demonstrated by your wait staff. A young man in training (sorry but can not remember his name) was welcoming and we looked forward to seeing him each morning.
In addition, Serena worked the bar with smiles and graciousness as well as serving breakfast the following morning.
I can not say enough about the wonderful overall experience we were afforded at Patria Palace.
Thank you for a stellar experience and the highest level of professionalism and courtesy one could hope to expect.
With thanks,
Phyllis DiGioia"
