"The hotel is fantastic, set on beautiful grounds with very well kept gardens, grand entrance and waterfall. The views are great, with Vesuvius sat to the front and views of Italy from the balconies. The staff are the best, accommodating, kind, and will help you with what ever you need, also very knowledgeable on area to help you with your travel plans and food spots! Breakfast is good with a selection of meats, cheeses, pastries, juices, cereals etc. the property is about 7mins away from the train station that takes you to Napoli/Pompeii/Sorrento, and there’s are free hotel shuffles to that station throughout that day (the hotel have a shuffle time table). You can get to the airport via that train station (and then a quick bus) also. Hotel pool is stunning, and quiet and you can easily spend all day there. Super clean with a pool bar open all day and serving great lunch items like burgers, fries, pasta, pastries. The hotel has an evening balcony bar open until late which is a peaceful place to spend the evening, and other balconies with egg chairs and seating. There are weddings there everyday but it does not interrupt your stay at all and is quite separate to main hotel guests and doesn’t keep you up. We enjoyed the live bands most evenings from the wedding parties that we could hear from the hotel bar. It’s a 10/10 base hotel for a mix of exploring Pompeii/Herculaneum/Sorrento/Amalfi/Napoli and relaxing by the pool in stunning settings"

"Tl;dr: Outstanding hotel in a not so good area! Summary: -Staff (all of them) were absolutely wonderful! Special shout out to shuttle driver Mauro who went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you Mauro! -The shuttle is very useful and there are extended times compared to what’s listed online. -WiFi is excellent for a hotel. 100Mbps down and up without a single drop during our multi-day stay. There’s one USB-A port by the bed and 2 in the TV that can be used for charging. They’re all slow charging ports so pack a power bank or bring a wall plug with you. -Rooms are very large and nice. There’s a ton of storage. There’s a safe and a mini bar fridge, though the fridge isn’t very cold. -Air conditioning is outstanding, especially given we went in the middle of a heat wave. -Shower pressure is very good, shower itself is reasonably sized. -Toiletries are awesome. They smell amazing and they come in small bottles rather than a shared pump. I brought my own stuff but ended up just using theirs. -Breakfast is a good start. There’s an assortment of pastries and a few staples like bread/fruit/cereal. The coffee is very good - you’ll have to ask someone for it so they can make it fresh and bring it to you. -The neighborhood isn’t great. I only walked during the day and never felt unsafe, but there’s trash, broken bottles and general dilapidation. It’s useless to walk - there’s nothing to see and it’ll take you 25 min to get anywhere useful."

Villa Durante

"An amazing place, in an old building with lots of character. Teresa and Luca were really helpful, proving a great breakfast and recommending places to eat. I would definitely stay here again. Car parking is tight but ok if you have a medium or small car, and you probably wouldn’t get a large car through the entrance gate. As the listing says, there are steps (four small flights) from the courtyard to the Villa entrance door so please take that into consideration if you have mobility restrictions or difficulties."

"Everything was wonderful. It was so much better staying here than inside of Naples. Especially from a traffic perspective as it was not far from the highway. Easy to navigate. As a solo woman traveler this staff helping with my luggage for the entry stair is helpful. The surrounding neighborhood had stores with better pricing than in Naples, local small restaurants that were amazing. The view of Mount Vesuvius in the morning and at night is impeccable from the rooftop terrace. The rooms were amazing. The staff the decor, the ambience, the breakfast room all of the areas of the hotel just beautiful. The rooms were clean. The staff was super helpful. English was really good from everyone I encountered or at least they understood enough to be helpful. Breakfast was amazing this place gets a 10 out of 10."
