Beautiful Cabin in the woods Allegany County NY

"It was a rustic experience! I needed a reasonably priced place to spend the night when in the area for a high school reunion 20 minutes away. The drive to and from was leisurely on amazingly maintained gravel roads. As I made my way I counted deer who crossed my path or met me in the driveway. One evening it was only 5. Early the next morning it was 17, including 3 spotted fawns with their mamas - a single and a set of twins. The moon was bright and the woods were lovely dark and deep.The hosts were very helpful by way of text messaging when I had a problem gaining access because I hadn't followed their excellent instructions. As to convenience of location - a question this review asks - convenience isn't the point for a hunting cabin in the woods.It was as convenient as it needed to be."

"The cabin is very comfortable with all the amenities needed. Very clean. Easy check in. Great fire ring near creek. Grandkids loved the creek and lots to do around the area! Its a great place to stay highly recommended! Thanks"

"Just a beautiful home with so many high quality features! Lovely view of the pond and so very peaceful. Enjoyed the fire pit and the excellent view of the stars. Unfortunately we weren’t able to access the creek but visited national parks nearby."

One of a kind Treehouse on the Genesee River

"Loved this Treehouse. Was very clean, adequate amenities. It sits back off the road a bit so it is very private. Short walk to the Genesee River. We met the hosts. Very nice couple. You do have to be mindful of how much water you use and you cannot drink it. So, bring your own water. There is a refrigerator outside under the treehouse to keep your beverages and whatever else cold. Loved the outdoor shower. If you like hiking there are several trails nearby. If your looking for something different this is it."

"Staff were very nice. Property is somewhat rundown and the room I had needed updating, but for the price it was acceptable. Basically clean, no bugs, a/c worked fine. TV had sufficient channels and there was a microwave and fridge. Water in shower was hot. If you are on a budget, it is sufficient. The old " you get what you pay for " label is appropriate. Dont expect a Hilton atmosphere for what you want to pay."
