About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

A beautiful, peaceful Smoky Mountain retreat with views. Sleeps 14.

This cozy cabin is tucked away on the peaceful side of the Great Smoky Mountains. We have created a comfortable yet beautiful space for you to enjoy and create lasting memories. You'll love the open floor plan and view out the main area windows. Enjoy the hot tub and wood burning fire place (seasonal) cuddled up with your loved ones. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax with friends and family, this place is for you.

The Space:
There are just a few steps to navigate from the driveway to the covered front porch. From the porch you walk into the main level which hosts the primary bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining, large deck, screened in porch, grilling deck and the laundry room. Upstairs we have two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one king and one queen), and a full bathroom. There is also a cozy open loft that includes a twin daybed with a twin trundle, and a workstation with a monitor and common adaptors to plug in your laptop. On the bottom level there are three bunk beds (6 full-size beds) along with a ping pong table, foosball table, another full living room, large tv, and a retro gaming console. The kitchen is very well stocked to accommodate cooking for a large group. Numerous pots, pans, cooking utensils, waffle maker, instant pot, blender, and electric griddle makes it like cooking at home. There is an additional refrigerator/freezer in the main level laundry room to store all your groceries. We also have the following coffee/tea options: Nespresso, regular coffee pot, french press and an electric kettle. Our hot tub and hammock are located in a cozy setting on the lower deck.

A few details to note:
We are in a private community with some full time residents, to respect the neighborhood we keep the quiet hours of 10pm to 7am. The HOA does not allow any recreational vehicles or trailers in the driveway.

The area:
The Townsend area is preferred by many due to all the beautiful nature and lack of crowds you'll find in Gatlinburg. We are very conveniently located to the Smoky Mountains and some popular areas like Cades Cove and Tremont. There are several nearby creeks, rivers and of course hiking trails. The private mountain community is very safe and centrally located, just a couple miles off Hwy 321. We hope you truly enjoy your stay and make lasting memories! Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding the cabin and area.

Wonderful place to stay for a Smokey’s base camp. Location is hard to beat, the views were amazing, and the living spaces were wonderful for hanging out and winding down after long days at the Park. Thanks to our host for being helpful, easy to work with, and unbelievably accommodating. Will hopefully be back soon!

We loved the secluded feeling of this property. The bunk room was perfect for our kids and the porches were perfect for relaxing at all times of day. The home included some thoughtful touches for guests that made our stay even more enjoyable. Would recommend without hesitation!

We try to go on a family trip every couple of years. The Smoky Mountains are our favorite. This house had every thing we needed to fill our bed and bath needs. The large dining and living area were great for family movies and family game nights. The game room downstairs was a hit with the young ones and the one ones! The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the extras like kid dishes. Great places to relax on the decks and porches and of course the hot tub!

Well cared for home that has plenty of privacy. Loved the downstairs bunk room for the kids. That sealed the deal. Internet was a little slow which made streaming harder but we hotspot' d to one of our phones. Great kitchen that had everything you needed. Loved this house and will be back!

Host put/left up Christmas tree for our stay even though after Christmas. Kindahl answered all my questions. There were more kitchen items than usual for a rental - basic spices, etc. We had trouble with the stove burners being too hot but used the griddle some, and there were two ovens that worked fine. If only it hadn't rained so much! Having the kids downstairs limited the noise and there was plenty of room for the 12 of us, ages 3-73.

This cabin was perfect for our entire extended family, from infants to grandparents. This cabin is nestled into a quiet hillside with easy access to Townsend and the Smokies. The views from the deck are unparalleled, and the house itself offers multiple amenities. This cabin will be at the top of our list next time we visit Townsend!

This newly renovated, spacious property is pleasantly decorated and has everything you could want as far as kitchen equipment, dishes, coffee makers (including an espresso machine). The bunk beds, which have double mattresses, also have stairs instead of ladders; a plus. Nestled in trees, lots of windows, a grill and hot tub. We were almost in heaven! We even saw a bear, which scurried away.

My family, including my children and grandchildren, loved the cabin. We saw a bear four of the seven days that we were there either on the drive in or in the parking area of the cabin. The down stairs area was perfect for the kids. They enjoyed having their own area with plenty of things to entertain them. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The best thing about the cabin was that we never ran out of hot water. We would highly recommend this cabin.

I booked this cabin as a Christmas vacation for my extended family of 14. We were very comfortable. The pictures of the property are great. Once we arrived it was breathtaking. AMAZING PROPERTY. My family loved it more than any gift I could’ve purchased. They preferred to stay at the cabin instead of going to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. When we went out they weee ready to get back to enjoy the cabin. Thanks so much to the host.

A beautiful home with everything you need. We had 5 adults and 5 kids from 3 separate families. The cousins stayed in the basement with 6 full sized bunk beds, ping pong table, foosball table, several games, and a smart TV. They had an absolute blast in their own space. The house is super spacious and never felt crowded. The house is so cozy and beautifully decorated. We had a nice welcome gift waiting for us and owner was super responsive. We loved it and would stay here again!

This was our first time to the smoky mountains and it was one of the best trips. The house was so clean and perfect. The attention to details in the house was very much appreciated. The kitchen was fully stocked with whatever you would need to make your stay easy and comfortable! The kids bunk room in the downstairs was awesome. We had 4 little kids with us and it was great they had their own space! Highly recommended and we will definitely be back. Thank you!!

The Greystone Chalet is absolutely wonderful. It is an amazing and peaceful mountain retreat. One day we had a single black bear walk thru the forest below the deck and the next day a mother and her cub made a visit. The entire house was immaculate and well furnished. There are separate climate controls for the fist and second floor. The drive from the main road was paved and easy. We will certainly return.

WOW! Attention was given to every detail so we could just show up and relax. It was beyond clean and charming. All the staples are here. Just bring food and you are ready to experience peace on earth. This cabin is COZY with breathtaking views. It’s the perfect balance of really nice and “feels like home”. The open floor plan allowed for our family to gather, play games, watch movies, read books, make crafts, play music and enjoy meals together. The kitchen is so spacious and stocked with more than the essentials. This was home away from home at its best. THIS will be the cabin we reserve for all of our stays in the Smoky Mountains.

Staying at in this cabin was an absolute joy. We stayed there with another large family making our party 4 adults and 10 children. It was just perfect for our families. The built-in bunk beds were what drew my children in while we were looking and they absolutely loved them. The downstairs was perfect for them with games, toys, books and so much more. So cozy! The living areas were decorated so nicely with so many homey touches. Plenty of space to hang out and gather around the fireplace for conversation, movies and playing games. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need for your stay. We cooked every breakfast and every dinner while we were there. Having the second fridge in the laundry room came in so handy for all our groceries. There was plenty of seating for all of us to gather and eat our meals together. The bedrooms were so nice and decorated to make you feel right at home. The beds were so comfy and they thought of everything to make your stay pleasant; laundry baskets, hangers in the closets, dressers to store your clothes. The bathrooms were fully stocked with plenty of towels, washcloths and extra bed linens. The view from the back decks was beautiful. The entire house was so nice and clean which was so much appreciated. I highly recommend staying here and would love to visit again. Thanks for such a wonderful stay and for thinking of everything we would need to make our stay go smoothly. We loved it and made so many great memories.

We chose Townsend because it was a central location for our family traveling from 3 different locations. We didn’t want the hustle and bustle of the nearby cities. The location was perfect. Up on the mountain far enough to feel like you were in the mountains, but close enough to grab a bite in a minutes drive. The house was one of the best setup that we have used as a family, and we have rented several in different locations over the years. We loved the great room, it was stunning and the view was amazing. But is so nice to have a separate living space downstairs as well. The kitchen was very well equipped and easy to navigate to cook. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and streaming services offered couldn’t have been better. The grandkids loved the built in bunks and so did we. They were very roomy and comfortable. We had no complaints at all about the spacious chalet. The driveway was a little tricky at first. I do NOT recommend backing in. There was ample parking, we had 4 vehicles. We would love to come back to this rental in a season where we can enjoy all of the different decks and screened in porch. The only minor repair that needed a little attention was some screening on the porch had torn loose. But it was too cold to sit outside anyway. We will definitely recommend and plan to return.

Kindall’s cabin was the perfect place for a weekend friends get together. The kitchen had everything we needed, the location was great (no crazy driveways or insanely steep roads). We had 12 people staying and there was more than enough room with the full size bunk beds. We received a very cute welcome basket with snacks and coffee. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Townsend was a great little town - and the house (albeit on a very steep road - our only real "complaint") was perfect for our family of 11! The basement level was a dream for the 5 kiddos!! We had non-stop ping pong games going! Comfortable beds, sitting areas, and sufficient seating for meals! We had a slight issue, but the owner jumped on it quickly and it was resolved. Our only suggested change is to update to "brighter" lightbulbs as they burn out! :) The house is just down the road from the Townsend Visitor Center. Most of our activities took us outside of Townsend, but Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge were all super close (all within 30-45 min drive). Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!!
