Very Good

The house is beautiful, clean, and just as described. The road to the cabin was narrow and steep, but definitely worth the drive for the beautiful view. We had a mama bear and two cubs visit us right after we arrived. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking at the cabin. It was definitely a great experience.
Cabin could use a deep cleaning and some painting . But we found it to be a great place for a family with lots of wildlife including bears and boars. Could use a gate at the porch to deter bears beautiful views of the mountains. If them trimmed some trees you would have beautiful sunsets
The property was spacious and clean. A lot of utensils and cooking supplies in the kitchen made it easy to prep meals. Stove/microwave are older but work just fine. The sewer backed up the 2nd day but the management had a vendor pump it within an hour. Very responsive. Like other reviews, could use more pool sticks and the tile outside is very slippery when using the hot tub. We really enjoyed the hot tub. Benches by the fireplace were nice too! Overall great stay and we saw baby cubs on the mountain every day.
The house, view, and location were everything I was hoping for. The house was clean and spacious. There were 5 of us and we were not on top of each other. The view is beyond words. We watched the clouds come over the mountains and the sunsets, just wow. The driveway was an adventure. We were warned it is steep and has a few turns. We have a minivan and we made it in good weather. Would suggest 4 wheel drive if you can.
When we got there the internet and cable were out. I contacted them and they had someone out there right away. Customer support is great. I have nothing bad to say about this property and I hope to stay again.
The house was nice and spacious. We enjoyed the layout, and it was very convenient that we had so many bathrooms and bedrooms. We had 9 people staying which included two families. The hot tub was very nice.
Unfortunately we had a couple power outages during the first two days of our stay, which was obviously out of the control of management. It was a little rocky the first night as the house was not equipped to deal with outages (no flashlights or candles etc).
We also needed a new coffee pot- which management was quick to send over (thank goodness!) The lady who dropped off the coffee pot was very friendly and kind. She was very concerned about the second power outage we were experiencing and offered more help than management seemed to. She brought us flashlights in case we needed them again during our stay. Thankfully power came back on quickly and the rest of the stay was fine.
We loved spending the weekend, the spacious, cozy and isolated cabin, we had an incredible visit from the mother bear and three cubs that closed with a flourish, a beautiful memory that will remain in our memories.

Overall this is a nice property. The views are amazing! The living space is a bit small for the number of people that the house sleeps - but we made it work.

Gorgeous view, great location, plenty of space
We loved this property! The house was a perfect size for our group, we loved having the hot tub, plenty of beds/space in the rooms, and a full kitchen. The only downside was having to drive into Pigeon Forge to check in, which was out of our way and not part of our initial plans for our trip. Otherwise, I would totally recommend this house and we would stay there again!
Berger Stuga was great. Loved being away from other cabins, the drive up is a little sketchy, not a two lane road. We saw a mamma bear and her 3 Cubs come out of the woods right by the fire pit. The view is spectacular and plenty of room for everyone. Definitely recommend!
If you read the reviews and listing, you get an accurate picture of the porperty. We had 2 families of 4 and stayed for 3 nights.
Everyone was comfortable and we had a good time. We cooked all our meals in the property as COVID was just getting serious and things worked out well. One thing to note, the driveway is very (and I mean very) steep and a low-riding sedan may have trouble.

Vacation
Was beautiful. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is because the cabin was suppose to have internet. We called when it wouldn't connect and was told they would send someone out. Not sure if they did because we couldn't connect the whole time we were there.

Expected More for the Price
If you're wanting a place with a view, this is it. But don't expect it to be cleaned. The positives were the view and there was a separate AC control upstairs, plenty of hot water, clean towels and the toilets were clean. The negatives were our socks were black from all the dirt and dust on the floors in all the rooms. There were dusty cobwebs in the corners of all the rooms. There was mold in the jacuzzi bathtub and the king bedroom shower in the basement. There were specs of vomit or feces on the wall by the toilet in the upstairs bathroom. There were specs of food or vomit on the wall next to the kitchen trash can. All the rugs needed shaken out. The couch cushions had food under them. There were pieces of popcorn on the floor in the living room and mouse poop on the counters. There was a mouse seen in the downstairs bathroom on the last night. The hot tub worked but the jets shot water out across the tile, which made it incredibly slippery. Three in our party slipped and fell due to how slippery it was. The paint is chipping off the railings. The charcoal grill worked but had a makeshift handle of wire (which was a heat conductor) so you couldn't lift the grill lid off with your hands. We had to use a tongs. Bring your own utensils and cooking supplies. The ones provided are flimsy or missing. We were expecting bugs but there were bug carcasses everywhere (on the beds, couches, floor, in drawers, etc). It was clear this place hadn't been cleaned in weeks. This place would have gotten 5 stars if it had just been clean!
There was rat droppings everywhere in the kitchen, a mouse trap in the silverware drawer. The hot tub was messed up but they did come fix it the next day. Only think was they fill it with hot water from the washer so we had no hot water for showers for three hours. There was a huge hole cut out in the bathroom wall and in the closet on the main floor. Cabinets were broken. And when I reached out to the host, no one ever apologized. No one showed any concern and we still had to pay full price for this stay.
The house is beautiful but could use a handyman. Some things should be updated, Toilets don’t flush properly, some appliances are very outdated. Some probably just need a little tweak, doors don’t open and/or close correctly, cabinet front falling apart and outdoor tiles are broken. We were very disappointed that for the money we spent, we could not use the hot tub and the pool table/cues were a little off(bent and missing tips) Management put in a maintenance order for the hot tub but unfortunately, it was late afternoon when we first tried to use the hot tub, so no repair before we had to leave. Like I said it is a beautiful house and a wonderful location. The house was cleaned well.
Enjoyed our stay immensely!!!! We had bears 🐻 at the property 4 out of the 5 days we stayed. The pictures of the bears in the hot tub basically happened to us the second morning... Our entire group loved seeing them there was a mother and 3 cubs the first and second day with a younger male passing through the following 2 days as we left headed into pigeon forge for the day... located just far enough out away as to keep from getting caught up the big crowds but close enough that you could be in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg within about 20-30 minutes with no problems... We will definitely be booking again soon
Property was nice and quiet. Needs some updating. Shower in master bath didn’t work and the hot tub jets didn’t work. Overall a good stay, we would go back!
We had such a great time at Berg Stuga! We had 4 adults, and 6 children and everyone had PLENTY of space. Bears came onto the property 4 times during our stay, which was pretty cool for the kids. But they are definitely not afraid of people. One came in the backyard while we were back there, we just slowly moved inside. Believe the reviews about the driveway, it is pretty steep. This was our first visit to the smokies and we already can't wait for our next trip!
We loved our stay here I had my whole family there were 8 of us plenty of room .
Was so nice that you provided all the kitchen supplies even crockpots and skillet could have used a cookie sheet for my French fries and tasted tots .
We saw a bear 3 times one came right into the property was so neat loved the view really just enjoyed the house and our time together .
The only negative thing is that drive up all
That gravel I did get stuck the first night and I have an suv it was in range mode .
After that I knew to just gun it all the way up if you don’t have an suv or van with good traction you won’t get up it’s long steep and all gravel .
Pool was too crowded for us to use as it’s shared with campground and right now with covid we stayed away .
Only other problem is WiFi password never worked but that was good I couldn’t work :)
Thank you so much for making our first family vacation so memorable and such a success .
House was great. While the outside steps were a little steep for my mother, we started using the inside stairs, which were great. Nice kitchen, with plenty of room at the dining room table for everyone. Bedrooms were very comfortable. Driveway was very steep, I don't think non four-wheel drive vehicles could make it in bad winter weather. Sky was overcast while we were there, but still great view of mountains.
When we got to the cabin we were shocked that there were almost no cooking utensils and no pots and pans. We are a family that likes to cook. The positive is that when I called and let the managers know they were very responsive and got us the things we needed. Overall a good visit

Fixer Upper
Beautiful property and view, but very dated. Appliances, kitchen and master bath need some work. Septic issues on the lower level, raw sewage backed up into the bathroom shower and toilets overflowed. We had to demand the mgt company send someone to cleanup the mess. Internet did not work the entire week but what you sacrifice in technology is made up by the view. However there is a large bush/tree overgrown area directly in the middle of the view. With some genuine TLC this property could be amazing. We did have several bears visit daily which was wonderful and exciting. And we could see the Knoxville fireworks from our porch. Layout of the house was perfect for three separate families to stay together.

It was ok
The house was somewhat clean. The cabinet door under the sink was not attached. The door handles on all of the doors were loose. Outside by the hot tub was extremely slippery. Everyone fell there. There needs to be something done to prevent that. There was also some blocks missing outdoors. It is a tripping hazard. The refrigerator needs replaced. There was a stick used to hold items in on the door. It was a nice size house for our large group. The view was amazing watching the sunset.
