Privacy & location!
Location to Townsend was favorable and being at the top of the drive, very private. Check in/out easy. We found several dirty dishes and pans put back in the cabinets, communicated with Derek and he responded very promptly. We discovered we had left an item, communicated again with Derek and the item was found and returned. Excellent communication!

Beautiful property-Great Location
This cabin was conveniently located to a grocery store, and restaurants, while not being in a busy area. It was stocked with ample necessities for our stay. Very clean, with comfortable beds. There is a clean, operating laundry room at the entry of the property, not within the cabin itself. There was a charcoal grill, not gas. I'd stay here again!

Our stay
The cabin gave us an authentic feel of staying in the mountains. It was on a very quiet road and we even saw a bear from the deck the first day we were there. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Tidy cabin in the woods
Lots of pros to this cabin - close to a main road so quick easy access to town, pubs, smokies etc. The con of that is that it does not have the elevation that provides a view or cooler air. There’s also a bit of road noise. Therenis sleeping for 3, but the main space of the cabin is pretty tight. It is used only as a rental so it has exactly what you need (towels, linens, plates, cups) but absolutely nothing more - so be sure to pack in any spices, zip lock bags, tin foil etc. It was very clean, which is great. The biggest downside from our perspective was the driveway and parking arrangement. The description said something like “room for two cars.” There is room for two mid sized cars…but they don’t tell you that it’s up a VERY steep, narrow, winding driveway, so you absolutely must be able to turn your car around to get back down. We had to do some serious negotiating and ended up backing one of the cars up across the side of the house so my dad could turn his truck around. My dad drove fire trucks, 18-wheelers and small construction vehicles and even he would not back down the drive to get to this house. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful and everything worked as hoped (hot tub included) - which is always a major plus. Overall a decent cabin.

Communication, Location and Accomodations
The communication with Derek was perfect. The check in was easy, he sent a brochure of everything you might need to know, and checked up on us in case we needed anything. Location-perfect. Went hiking and on Wednesday rode our E-bikes at Cades cove, not very busy because of the weather but a nice ride. Accomodations-everything you want or need. Very clean with plenty of towels. Will definitely be coming back to Heavens Trail.

Nestled in the Trees
If you are seeking 'your calm'..this is the place for you. This place offers such peace. The wrap around porch with the wooden rocking chairs offered a quiet place to meditate or a read a book. If you are coming with your family this place works for that too. Large fire pit to hang out after a day of hiking. Our 'go to' was the hot tub after hiking all day. Pure heaven. The cabin is definitely a place for a family to enjoy. The beds were very comfortable. And the large open area would work well for family. We loved it. All the amenities you need are in the kitchen. I want to thank Derek, who answered all my texts very quickly. He is very attentive. We will, for sure, be returning to this ,or one of the other mountain mist cabins. This place will not disappoint. Thanks Derek

Excellent weekend get away
The cabin exceeded my expectations. It had a pleasant wood cabin smell as soon as we entered. The amenities were exactly as described, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the cabin was clean and clutter free. Communication from the host was great, and all instructions were clear. The porches were very pleasant with nice views, but unfortunately it was too cold on our stay to really enjoy them. I would stay at this cabin again in the future!

Cozy cabin in the woods
The cabin exceeded expectations. It’s even prettier in person, with really unique, yet subtle details. Each bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were plenty spacious with nice finishes. The kitchen had everything we needed for our short stay. We arrived after dark and were pleasantly surprised to see a light inside and outside had been left on for us. Such a small detail, but it made the cabin feel very welcoming from the start. The loft is huge! Way bigger than what I was expecting for a loft. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I would definitely stay there again and have shared the link with friends. Thank you, Derek! I thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful property and really appreciate how responsive you were. Merry Christmas!

Perfect Getaway
We were looking for a quiet, comfortable cabin to relax off the beaten path, and this cabin was perfect! It was clean upon arrival, well stocked with towels and starter amenities, and cozily peaceful. 30 minutes from any of the larger attractions, and we enjoyed Townsend itself for several outings. The host checked in and made sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend for a family to escape the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Check out the river walk, covered bridge, swinging bridge, and Apple Valley.
