"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "art hotel". The decorations are nice, the kitchen was fully equipped, and everything was very clean. It's in a great location, right near Higashi Chaya. There are only two things to watch out for: - The stairs are very steep and can be difficult to climb with a suitcase. - There aren't a lot of places nearby that are open at night. But after our first night, we knew to plan ahead and this wasn't a huge deal. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again....

"Excellent location for skiing. Property is very nice and exactly what I wanted. Modern bed rooms, bathrooms, lounge room with plenty of space. We could ski back to the house and it's a two minute walk to the slopes. Night skiing is right there. It's on a large property on the side of the mountain with a creek. The kitchen is a bit old and funky but we cooked meals each day without any problem and it is well stocked with dishes and pans. You need a hire car as it is off the beaten track. Also...
