"Lovely space and easy access to Goryu. The family who runs the hostel is incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful with so many questions and recommendations for Japan. The hostel is open and airy while still being cozy and feels like you're staying in a large house which was kept immaculately clean. Loved this place!"

"I had a wonderful stay here, 4 nights in the summer was beautiful. If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, great location, stunning scenery, perfect weather definitely book here. Great restaurants close by, I would recommend a hire car for a day or two as there is so much to explore. Will definitely stay here again if I find myself back here. Would definitybe a lot of fun here through the winter too."

"I stayed here for three weeks and really enjoyed it! Close to the Cortina and Norikura slopes and if you wanna go into town or the other ski areas, the bus stop is literally just outside the door. Nice owner, free use of the kitchen to make my own food, good wi-fi connection and great help with my ski equipment that I rented there. Totally recommend this place!"

"Toilets were not as expected. (No wash-lets). There was a problem while using both toilets at same time. (When flushing the upstairs toilet, it is difficult to sit on down stairs toilet. water will pop-up). Using kerosine heaters are not good for the closed rooms. There was no air ventilation system."
