Amazing mansion conversion into an event center and hotel. And there is even a lift to get you up to the top floor! Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. It was somewhat difficult for me to find using GPS. Needed to ask for help at the Tesco petrol station.

Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths. Nice people, nice breakfast - just nice! Not a central location - about a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile - but we prefer the quiet to the noise of the more touristy areas and it's a nice walk. Definitely recommend.

We had a short stay in Edinburgh, and this hotel was a real highlight. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtful, and the room felt comfortable. We stayed at The Raeburn for one night on a recent trip to Edinburgh but wish we could have stayed a few more! The room was huge with lovely woodwork and a marble bathroom (the fixtures were top-notch with a huge tub, huge shower, double sink, and towel warmer). Our king-sized bed was very comfortable and there was also a large flat-screen TV. The elevator made it easy to get to our room and there was parking on-site. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room is clean and sufficient if all you’re doing is sleeping in the room. Great proximity to Haymarket station and easily walkable to both Old Town and New Town. My only letdown was the water pressure in the shower, but a historic building is probably dealing with historic pipes.

We’ll maintained, the pool and saunas were fantastic! Highly recommend as it’s walkable and very convenient to all locations downtown. Tge bar was also excellent!!

This is a simple budget hotel with basic accommodations, but a great staff and services. The location is perfect--on a quiet side street but a 20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle and the old town. The breakfast buffet is well worth the small extra cost; nice variety and well-prepared. The rooms are small but well-appointed and comfortable. The tea/coffee kettle in the room was a nice touch.
