Whilst we were there just for an overnight, this was a LOVELY B & B in Edinburgh, beautifully appointed, with a very gracious host. It's a bit far from the city center, but it is easily accessed by bus. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Perfect place for our trip to Edinburgh! We loved staying in Leith as a way to decompress from our busy city days. The neighborhood was quiet, charming, and beautiful. The hospitality at 3 John’s was exceptional. We would happily stay here again.

Very nice guest house, close to the center, only 10 min. walking distance.
The owners were really very kind, helpful, gave us lot of recommendation for visits sightseeing, restaurants etc.
Nice view from the room (Arthur´s Seat)

I do not even know where to begin. Richard and his wife (who I am not sure how to spell her name, so I will not attempt) are the most kind and gracious of hosts. They allowed me to check in early and even upgraded my room at no cost to me for two nights. This upgrade was their own doing, I did not request it. Richard gave me a wonderful run down of buses, directions, taxi services, everything I would need to get started on my most dazzling vacation of Edinburgh. The rooms were cozy, warm,...

Our room was cosy and was spacious. It was downstairs and was clean and served with making sure having coffee, toilette paper etc.
Parking works well.

We were a very last minute reservation as our flight was unexpectedly cancelled. The owners were incredibly welcoming & kind. The rooms are small but cozy & each has an en-suite bathroom. Enormous & well equipped kitchen for all residents to use. Short walk to public transportation.

The space was unuque and beautiful. Definite old world charm. The staff was helpful with suggestions, and friendly. The common spaces were very nice. I would say the room is good for sleeping, but just be aware they are very tiny rooms. It was exactly what we needed, but if I wanted to stay at a place where I'd be in my room a lot I would probably choose something else. But since my room was just for sleeping I would stay here again because I liked all the other spaces.

We really liked the location! It was away from the center of town which made it so much more relaxing! The bus stop right across the street in front of hotel. There were numerous bus lines available that took you to anywhere in the city w/very little confusion! (Plus the Scots really help you when you need it!) We really enjoyed the English breakfast! (Try the Black pudding! It tastes like a black bean veggie paddie!) The owner and his staff were very accommodating and nice!!

The owner of this place is amazing. I had an issue with the car rental company and he offered to help which he didn't have to but was greatly appreciated. The room was immaculate. The bathroom, which is important to me was very clean as well. The city is right around the corner. There's a bus that takes you directly there. The parking is a little tricky but it wasn't anything that was too bad. I really recommend this place to anyone who travels to Edinburgh. It's close enough to the city but not...

Easy check in and the staff were communicative when we reached out. Great place to stay in Edinburgh and very clean! East to hop on busses around town as well.
