"We stayed in Tuilip Lodge for 4 nights as a little break visiting relatives in the locality. The lodge was bigger than expected and we loved the quiet countryside location There is a steep driveway up to the top of the hill it was worth it for the views. We explored the local area around Llangollen, Shrewsbury and had a day out to Chester which was about 50 minutes drive away. There are also plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby which saved cooking! "The owners are very lovely and welcoming and explained everything about the lodge and the area around. The lodge was very nice and clean and tidy with everything you needed and a little more with the hot tub and sauna. The views were amazing and even better when relaxing in the hot tub. Would definitely be back and would recommend to everyone."

"Lapwing is a beautiful, dog friendly lodge set along side of the canal, the first of 3 other lodges. Thereâ€™s ample parking. The enclosed decking area was perfect for our dog, who loved watching the boats pass and watching his human brother enjoy the private hot tub. The lodge has everything you need from towels, gowns, slippers, toiletries to dog essentials (bowls,blankets) to all your self catering needs."
