  • Beach House sits 100m from the Blue Flag beach in Porthtowan, a small seaside village with a stunning 1 mile sandy beach, framed by National Trust protected coastline and served by RNLI Lifeguards. Learn to surf at the legendary Tris Surf or enjoy the thrill of nature lying down on a foam body board. On the beach is the 'Blue Bar', a Good Pub Guide pub with great food, and Chapel Porth National Trust cafe, home of the world famous HedgeHog ice cream. Walkers take the South West coastal path from the gate through the UNESCO World Heritage North Cornwall coastline. For cyclists: take an 11 mile coast-to-coast cycle route along old railway lines and one of the best BMX facilities in the UK is nearby. Great location for all of Cornwall, only 5 minutes from the A30. 20 minutes to Truro, 30 minutes to Newquay, Falmouth and St Ives. Perfect place for a family holiday so close to the beach and with amazing views!

Great house, location. Fantastic balcony and fire pit area with incredible views. It was a relaxing, comfortable and easy stay with everything we could have needed.

Fabulous Winter Beach Holiday Retreat

We had a wonderful few days, there was a great entertaining space and an awesome chill out room with wood burner and sea views - would definitely recommend

Great place to stay for 11 of us ( 3 families) in February. Mark was great with his communication and gave us an extra mattress so we could accommodate an additional person. Lovely spot, sea views and easy to find. Yes, there are steps up to the house (about 70) but we all managed it and we're getting on a bit! We managed to park two small cars on the concrete ramp/driveway. The 30 metres of unmade road to it is narrow so possibly tricky if you are nervous driver...but again we managed it with three different drivers.Would definitely book again!

Excellent stay

Our second time staying in this wonderful property. Clean, well equipped and in a lovely location. Great for getting out and about. We coped with the steep steps (good exercise), but needed to remember a torch when coming back after dark.

The house is beautifully situated above the village. You have a great view of the beach. We felt very comfortable in the house. We have rarely vacationed in such a well-equipped and beautifully furnished house.

Lovely house with fantastic views. Really well equipped and spacious. Very close to the beach, perfect place for a Cornish break! Our only slight gripe would be the parking, it was a little tricky reversing down off the slope.

Great weekend away with friends

Perfect Location, just minutes walk to the beach and nice play park for the kids. Close to plenty of places to eat. Beach is beautiful. Views from the house is stunning. The cooker, decking and downstairs ensuite shower need some tlc but that didn’t effect usage or us having a fantastic time. Will definitely be coming back!

Spacious family house ideal for large family gatherings

A Christmas venue for family get together. Host gave us access as soon as it was ready and any minor issues caused by previous tenants were resolved satisfactorily. As long as you are fit, the climb up the steps is totally worth it for the amazing views from the decking and garden. The 3 en suites plus a family bathroom are a real bonus for large family get togethers.

Wonderful weekend!

We had an amazing weekend at this property, it’s a really comfortable house with all you need. We were two families with kids aged between 5-10 and we all had a blast! The beds are super comfortable, seating areas are great with ample space for relaxing and enjoying the stunning views. We were blessed with amazing April weather and it was such a treat to wake up to the sound of the waves and watch the sun rise above Porthtowan. Local cafe and bars are lovely too and bonus playground within watching distance. We have already booked to return- highly recommend!

Super house, great location

A well equipped house with plenty of room for all to enjoy. Rooms are all comfortable and there are plenty of toilets and showers. The house was warm and the owners provided everything needed. The views are gorgeous and it literally is a two minute walk to the lovely beach and coastal walks. The Unicorn Pub does good food and is a 1 minute walk. There are a lot of steps up to reach the property!! We loved our stay at Beach House.

Great spot

Nice property with plenty of space. We stayed in winter but the deck would obviously be lovely in summer! Parking is available but is tricky and not ideal if you have a van - up a steep ramp and then requires reversing down a narrow lane to get out. Not impossible but not easy! There is parking in the village which was easily accessible when we stayed.

Porthtowan

Lovely place to stay, beach perfect for the dogs and people all very friendly. Accommodation good, could have been much better with a welcome pack! The steps were a challenge, I consider myself quite fit but 74steps to climb with luggage not easy, added to which my husband scraped his car on the hand rail while trying to park on the tricky slope. The views were amazing from the deck as expected.

Beautiful Location

The property is in a wonderful location and is warm and spacious with amazing views especially from one of the upstairs bedrooms. Showers are good, huge bath and lovely comfortable beds. A few things need a bit of attention especially outside but on the whole a lovely property. This property is definitely not for anyone with mobility issues or infirm.
