This is our second stay at the Alverton & again it was wonderful. Beautiful hotel, lovely friendly bar area. We had a fast easy check in/out & the room was immaculate. Will definitely be back.

The room was spotless and a good size. Comfortable stay, road outside a little noisy with racer style engines but I still slept well

Friendly staff, lovely comfy room. Be great to have an expresso coffee machine in room - I know it takes up room but… Really enjoyed and great location

Truro is a great base to see Cornwall. You can take a boat/bus/train to Falmouth and many other towns and beaches. You don't even need to rent a car to reach Truro, just hop on the train from Paddington Station in London.
Taking the train from London to Truro was relaxing, less stressful and more environmentally friendly than driving. However, once there and without a car, getting around is very difficult. Taxis are limited and very expensive.
We booked a tour to NE Cornwall with South West tours. It was very nice and, again, informal. Our driver, Kimberley, was great.
LOvely old Cornish City
Not very exiting town
