"The Gold Standard of Belize – A Michelin-Level Private Island Experience! If you are looking for the only place worth staying in Belize, Shaka Caye is it. From the very moment I stepped off the plane, the staff made us feel like royalty. Their attention to detail is truly unmatched; they anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. The culinary experience was the biggest surprise of all. I have dined all over the world, and the food here tasted like I was eating at a 3-star Michelin restaurant. Every meal was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. A special thank you to Glenda and her entire staff. Their warmth and professionalism made our trip feel deeply personal and incredibly special. They don’t just provide a service; they provide a memory. I won't stay anywhere else in Belize from now on. "New hotel (opened in November 2025), with currently pristine facilities. Rooms were clean, well appointed, and fresh. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Not busy at all but I suspect that this will change once more people find out about it (it’s nicer in person than it looks online). Note that you either have to take a 10 minute taxi boat to Zenses and Blu Zen (resorts on the north island) from the main Caye Caulker town or can borrow hotel bikes to take the short trip ($1 or $2 to cross the water at the Split). I would definitely recommend this little gem of a retreat in the blue waters of Belize! Note: This is adjacent to Blu Zen, so parties could stay at both and still be in very close proximity."
