"A gem amongst the trees! Terrific stay for a long weekend! It is what you make of it — relaxing in your room or on the numerous patio spaces, or in the library, or in the lobby! Swimming and kayaking! We took a guided ride on the brand new pontoon boat (with a bartender and restroom on board) and that was one of my favorite parts. Everything is so accessible, my family of four even took a bike ride. Our boys LOVED the Arnold Palmer golf course (although it is challenging)! EVERYthing we ate was...

I had already been charged by the Vrbo host, but when I arrived at Stonewall Resort, I was told there was no card on file and that I would need to pay again. It appeared that Stonewall needed to process payment through the host rather than charge me directly.I tried explaining to the Stonewall staff that a third party was handling the payment, but they were unable to verify or locate that...

"The location was excellent for our trip. It's just outside of Elkins, so a convenient distance from any services while still being in nature. Visiting Blackwater Falls and accessing the national forest were both within reasonable driving times.The kitchen was pretty well stocked and the items were in good condition."
