"It was a great experience, the staff is very kind and service oriented. They don’t have a luxury hotel, but is very clean, has everything needed for the stay, and you will have the experience of living as Edam local people, which was great."

"Grote zuivere kamer. Heel eerlijk, zo schoon heb ik het nog niet meegemaakt. Vaak zit er nog wel een randje kalk aan de douchekoppen. Alles mooi schoon. Personeel lief (mag ik dat zeggen?) en behulpzaam. Als ik 1 nadeel mag zeggen: het parkeren. Door dat casino stond het helemaal vol. Maar goed. In het hotel was alles top!"

"Stayed here as we were visiting Walibi Holland. It's only around 3 or so miles away and on the same side of the water, so the hotel is an excellent location for visiting the theme park if you have a car. One word of warning the hotel reception is only open from 7am-11pm and check in 3pm-11pm. If you're attending a late night event such as fright nights which ends at 11pm and it's your first day at the hotel you will have to think about how you check in. It is in the middle of nowhere down a long road away from the main road so it's nice and quiet at night. It's home to a golf course and you can hear a shooting nearby (presumed shooting range). The hotel itself was good, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The curtains are substantial which is good for not letting in daylight. The rooms large and give a great feeling of space. However it's a bit dated though and signs like cracked sink, toilet bowl discoloured give that impression that the it needs a bit of a lift. Was a bit more than I wanted to pay, however great location and comfortable bed means I would stay here again."

"A lovely hotel. The room was excellent and the on-site restaurant (not owned by the hotel) was equally excellent. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact it was difficult to find anywhere to hand up our clothes after a very wet journey, there wasn't a grab handle in the shower (which I need) and as the hotel is encased in a large church and there was no external branding, we couldn't find it though it was right under our noses!"

"Die Hausbootvilla ist einzigartig. Umfangreich und luxuriös ausgestattet. Der Außenbereich des Hausbootes mit der Terrasse lädt zum Relaxen ein. Es fahren tagsüber viele Boote vorbei und es wird nie langweilig. Giethoorn selbst als Venedig des Nordens bezeichnet, verdient diesen Namen. Die Abwicklung der Reise war unproblematisch und ok."
