We stayed at this hotel for just one night while travelling through Schiphol Airport. First, I want to acknowledge the wonderful front desk staff. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional, and certainly a highlight. The hotel is also very conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was disappointing, particularly considering the price we paid. Our room appeared quite tired and shabby, and the property as a whole is in need of a significant refresh. We noticed chipped paint, worn door frames, and areas where the finishes & carpeting peeling or lifting. The hallways also had an unpleasant odour, which detracted from the overall experience. Another challenge was navigating the hotel. The property spans two connected buildings with several different levels, making it somewhat confusing to move around. Although there is an elevator, access to the reception area is only via stairs this is harder when travelling with luggage and family. On a positive note, the bed linens and towels were clean, which we appreciated. Overall, while the location and excellent front desk staff are definite strengths, the condition of the property falls short of what we would expect at this price point. For one night it will do.

If you’re not going to Utrecht to stay in your hotel (I mean, why would you be?!) this is a great place to stay. It’s close to everything that you need. The staff are great. The rooms are clean.

Incredible and kind front desk. I stayed there a week and they took excellent care of me. Over and beyond care. I will always remember the Leonardo Utrecht front desk staff. Great location, easy to walk to the train station and into the University. Gorgeous room with wonderful window light and view of the tower.
