A well-balanced mix of laid-back island charm, with professionalism, friendliness, fun activities and the best hotel food you will find anywhere (mix of authentic local and themed international, always something for everyone and a classy pastry section straight out of Paris!). The grounds are picturesque and immaculate, whilst the staff are amazingly friendly and attentive. Cannot recommend La Pirogue highly enough! "

"We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect, from the check-in to the check-out. The Resort is located in a fabulous place, the beach is just exceptional ! "An ocean view room was reserved for my parents at the Sugar Beach hotel. They were celebrating their Golden (50th) anniversary. Initially they were given a room that was very far from the reception and required climbing stairs and didn't provide a clear ocean view (something we paid for). Also, they were not provided with drinking water in their rooms. On top of this, their in-room phone did not work. They were eventually moved to a better room on the ground floor, but the staff and service had already scarred the experience at the hotel. Prior to their stay at Sugar Beach, they stayed at the Le Meridien, where the staff, the service, the location were all top notch. The day and night difference between the two hotels made it worse at Sugar Beach. Will not be booking Sugar Beach Hotel again. "
