10/10 Excellent

"Great hotel. Excellent location within walking distance of the train station and all the attractions of the city with great restaurants close by. Altafulla, only one stop on the train is beautiful. The room was a really good size with a huge bed and twin sinks in the bathroom. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. A gentleman on reception booked a taxi for us when we were leaving. It arrived within a couple of minutes. We stayed room only so can't comment on the breakfast. The only downside and this wasn't the hotel's fault was the party disco outside the hotel on two nights with lots music until very early in the morning. This was part of the Santa Tecla festival and organised by the council."

"Just back from 10 days in Caribe. Found the staff to be excellent as ever, special shout to Chus in the breakfast area of San Juan. Always happy and cheery, nothing was too much trouble. Room felt it had seen slightly better days but clean, tidy and well laid out. Air con was good. Perhaps a refurb is required to bring it back up to standard, especially the bathroom. Nothing wrong with it, just tired and a little modernisation needed. Lack of sockets around the bed was a pain so you had to unplug lights to charge your devices so meant that the lighting wasn’t great if you wanted to charge or plug anything else in. Could do with things USB (USB-C) sockets and better lighting overall. Just a bit lacking compared to higher end hotels in terms of visuals and modern amenities. Port Aventura itself was busy during Friday and Saturdays and quiet midweek. Was disappointed compared to previous year’s Halloween theming. Felt that it was really minimalist compared to the what’s been there before and it looked like it had been really cut back. Merchandise was also the same as previous years as well and nothing overly new. As ever, park was clean & tidy, and staff were friendly and helpful. Shows were good as well."

"Nice hotel.with good facilities well set out rooms with a nice bathroom We did have an issue with a leak in.the room and the maintenance tried to resolve it but could not but we were moved and it was resolved Good location and fabulous breakfast"

"Muy buenas habitaciones dessyunos y comidas bien, falta una mejoría con la tv en la habitación, no funciona, por lo demás bien, el depósito exigidos pues reducen tú crédito en tc, si lo devuelven pronto a tu salida, pero no es algo que agrade, ganar con tu dinero."

"Staff at check in were lovely. The room was lovely and clean with everything we needed. The roof top pool was fantastic as there was also plenty of room to sun bathe and it was never too packed."

"Lovely hotel over looking the sea. Very clean. Reception area modern. Breakfast has everything you could ask for, many people were all inclusive but cannot comment on evening meals. Drinks were nice and not overly priced. Walking distance to the beach minutes away. Few restaurants and bars 10 min walk in cap salou but not that much of a choice.Nice promenade walk into Salou which takes around 35-45mins, bus for €2 at the top of the hill if you prefer, or taxi is around €10. Hotel has nice pool including an indoor one, outside has a nice amount of sunbeds which we found there was always space. Rooms nice size with balcony. Wardrobe , free safe, fridge with complmentry drinks presumably if only b&b. Definitely recommend this hotel."

"Obviously the main selling point for this hotel is the location! The room was basic but functional. It could have done with more pillows. Some of the maintenance wasn't great - the door handle to the bathroom kept coming off. It could do with more plug sockets. Dinner and breakfast are very good - a large buffet with a good selection and surprisingly good food."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay, perfect location, hotel clean and staff friendly. The only criticism was that pool was heavily chlorinated, so much so it was cloudy, and you couldn't see the bottom of the pool Both myself and daughter have sensitive skin, so we decided not to risk swimming in it. The buffet food was cooked well, however not kept warm. Every meal we had wasn't very warm at all. The variety was good, themed nights were excellent. We thought it strange that we didn't have to pay for drinks at breakfast, but evening meal drinks are chargeable. We weren't made aware of this when we arrived. The drinks are very reasonably priced though, so it wasn't much of an issue. The WiFi was terrible. So much so, I've run out of data, which never happens back home. The walls are paper thin, so we had to use ear plugs to sleep. We loved the water coolers dotted around the hotel. The hotel is very eco friendly. Again, we enjoyed our stay, the downsides didn't detract from the holiday too much. We went to the beach instead of the pool, granted we had to pay for sun beds but you get a reduced price staying in the hotel. The food at the Bluumar beach bar was fantastic. We also had to pay for the safety deposit box in the room, which I've never had to do before. €6 per night."
