Beachfront Apartment - By the SEA

"Beautiful apartment with incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. Most importantly for us was the climate, which is so much cooler than other destinations around Europe.Check-in with David was great and all amenities explained. Our delayed flight caused him no stress.Local shops and cafes within walking distance and several excellent restaurants serving fantastic food. The beach, a few minutes from the apartment is perfectly clean and the sea is so refreshing to swim in.A great base to visit other parts of Northern Portugal, including Porto itself which has so much to offer and it only a short taxi journey away.Family loved it and will definitely plan to return."

"A nice spacious apartment with a lovely view of the Azurara beach from the balcony. Large sofa with a TV on which we were able to stream our Amazon. The Welcome pack Nuno provided was kind and there were basics such as coffee, spices, oil and other useful cooking supplies. Beach towels and parasols etc were plentiful, which was great, thank you! Restaurant/bar very close by and small bakeries/ cake shops within easy walking where you can get delicious coffee & pastries and bread for very reasonable prices. Fabulous beach on your doorstep where you can relax and watch surfers and waves. Town of Vila do Conde worth the walk - again nice restaurants and bars and a beautiful church and impressive monastery to view, and also a Lidl supermarket which is walkable.Takes about 30 minutes to walk to Metro which gives easy access to Porto and nearby shopping centres. Uber taxis are plentiful and very reasonably priced for when you don’t want to walk. If you’re looking for a true Portuguese experience with Porto on your doorstep and want a comfortable apartment to stay in book this one!"

"The place is a brand new remodel, pristinely clean with a fully equipped kitchen, even a washing machine. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large livingroom.Spacious and bright with great views of the sunset. For awareness : a) if you have any mobility issues - there are 20 interior steps b) if you are renting a car, get something really compact. The entrance to the garage is from a steep, narrow cobblestone street that often had other cars parked on the side of it, making maneuvering challenging. In hindsight, I would have preferred to take advantage of the excellent metro system that can take you just about everywhere. The nearest stop is a 5min walk. Driving in Portugal is a bit of an adrenaline sport. Excellent experience overall."

"The property was a very good size for 8 adults. It was close to the beach and a few good restaurants. The garden areas were comfortable and although we didn’t use the bbq area because of the time of year it looked to be a very pleasant space. The property was very contemporary in style although on a practical side there were a couple of small grumbles. Nowhere to hang damp towels indoors. The shower head in the en-suite was ultra modern but not very good for getting wet because it was too slender. The basin in that room could have done with a plug rather than the system used. No towels or towel rail in the communal bathrooms. The shutters had no stays so they could not be left open in a wind. The airer for putting out clothes to dry in the back garden was too small. Hopefully these are constructive comments to improve the experience for future guests"
