"We had a really wonderful stay. The house and outdoor areas are fantastic. Carla was very responsive to questions. The beach at Carvalhal is a short walk away and is absolutely gorgeous. It's perfect for kids at low tide and ideal for beginner surfers. We are definitely going to return in the near future."

"Superbe maison. Très spacieuse avec ses 9 chambres. Nous étions 14 adultes et nous avions amplement d’espace pour tous et chacun. Nous avons profité des talents culinaires de Maria Helena et de Ana à 5 reprises pour notre plus grand bonheur. Elles sont super gentilles. Nous les avons adorées. "I booked the property for 19 persons as a celebration for a friend. Paulo was always communicating with us for the months in the build up to the stay. The chef Jose was very friendly and cooked a great breakfast as well as a dinner for our final night. It is around 45 minutes from Lisbon but Paulo helped us organise taxis for a visit into the city on one of our days. There is also a supermarket around 5 minutes drive. Having the football pitch was also a great plus :) if you stick to the house...

"Nice quiet stay away from the hustle of downtown Comporta (~12 min drive). I enjoyed walking to nearby local coffee shop for my espresso and the Leonardo supermarket for some daily supplies. I’m a little on the taller side; so, had to watch my head when walking through the doors (not an issue if one is under 5’10”). Otherwise, having a/c here is a big plus and necessary given the strong summer alentejo sun."

"No emergency numbers ie Doctor ,Dentist, Vet, Fire or flood or electricity. No information about shops bars restaurants or places to visit. Very very overlooked and close to neighbours with barking dogs and Crowing early morning Cockerel!!!. Had NO contact with owner apart from 1 Phone call never saw the man . Unable to discuss various problems with A The oven that kept switching itself off and didn’t,t reach temperature! B Front door unable to lock properly!"
