An old fashioned hotel with spectacular staff. The room was a good size for the location and it was very central. There was an issue with the A/C that they tried to fix with no success during my two night stay. But they certainly tried!
The room was quiet, the breakfast was good and again, I can’t say enough about the staff.
The hotel was clean but there were stains on the wallpaper and curtains so I did not give a 5 star.

Enjoyed our stay, the Staff were wonderful and we will be booking again
Beautiful small hotel in lovely old building on edge of canal. Very stylish reception which must have cost a fortune (magnificent chandelier). Our suite was enormous, very clean and full of character. Beds very comfortable and always slept well (hotel very quiet) All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was ok. Coffee and hot chocolate were lovely (made to order) and nice juices and fresh rolls/cakes but for some reason hot dishes (sausages, bacon and scrambled egg) were always lukewarm which let the breakfast down a bit. 10 min to Rialto. 15 min to St Marco. While waiting in reception on leaving day (late flight) were all given drink and snacks - a very generous and thoughtful gesture. Sad to leave. Venice and hotel, despite bad weather we encountered, are absolutely both beautiful and unique.

Nice hotel centrally located in Venice. Room and service was ok, breakfast was good. The only problem was the shower, it was terrible and felt similar to slowly pouring a cup of hot water over your body... All in all a good stay.
I was charged for two nights of stay. In nearly a year, i never got a single peep that I had a reservation. Nothing about an upcoming stay... looking forward to seeing you... your reservation is upcoming... nothing.
We had a great stay at Locanda La Corte. The staff was kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and large enough for 2 adults and 2 young children. The location was excellent.

Why 3 out of 5 stars (lots of + and a few -)? I stayed 5 days total, staff very kind and attentive. Very convenient to the hospital, which is why I was there. I ate dinner there one night (good food), when I asked for bill, waiter said manager was taking care of it. Upon checkout, not only was that charge on my bill, but there were two meal charges. Second half of stay there was a terrible smell permeating the building. I suppose it was temporary, but left before the smell did. If not for smell and re-negging on taking care of dinner, it would likely be a 5-star.
Lovely place. Nice quiet location and only a short stroll to main tourist area. Plenty of dining options nearby. We had to check out early so they even dropped a take away breakfast to our room the night before. We really enjoyed our stay. The only slight negative was the shower door needed a little adjustment and may prove difficult for other guests. I would definitely stay again. Thanks.
This boutique hotel is situated right on a small canal, in an old traditional building. Access to Venice couldn't be better from there. To get there with luggage, best to take the water bus "vaporetto" as the walk would otherwise involve too many sets of stairs over bridges. We counted only 3 sets of stairs on the route to the vaporetti station.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size. There was no elevator to our room, unfortunately. The shower stall sizes seem to be very tiny all over Italy and this bathroom was no exception, but it was clean.
There is a good restaurant on site and breakfast was good as well.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
