Hotel Rio is located in a small square with many dining options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We only paid for the English Breakfast one day but it had great options of bacon rashers, sausages, hash brown patties and scrambled eggs. The location is extremely convenient as it is only a two minute walk from the Vaporetto station. This gave us convenient access to the Train Station, other parts of Venice, and the islands of Burano and Murano. The square outside the hotel is quite lively but everything closes down precisely at midnight and it was quiet until 8:00 AM. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved exploring the streets of Venice. We would definitely recommend Hotel Rio to anyone visiting Venice. Grazie Mille!

I loved the location of this hotel. It was very easy to get to via the Vaporetto and Google Maps. Many food choices within minutes, close to canals, and just a few minutes from the square. My room was clean, the air conditioning worked, and there was a mini refrigerator. I had a single room but after a long time of traveling throughout Europe, it was nice to have my own bathroom/shower with a hairdryer! I would stay again.

Not luxurious, but very clean and comfortable. There is no elevator, so be aware if you are travelling with folks with mobility issues that they will have to use the stairs unless you get a a first floor room

Perfect location. It's really convenient and close to all the most important places to visit. Comfortable room with a lot of space even for a single room. Only drawback is that the air conditioning didn't work properly in my room on the second floor and it was really hot inside the room. Other than that, I'd give it a 10 and would definitely stay there again.

The location was excellent, but it advertised as having air conditioning and we went through two different rooms that the staff said the air conditioning was working, but it definitely was not. It was like sleeping in a sauna.

It was a great stay! AC was working well, super great location, staff was friendly and everything was clean. Only thing was our room was right next to the breakfast area so we always got woken up by people going there and also can hear people late at night at the restaurant below but not very troublesome and we enjoyed our whole stay regardless

Great accommodation. Easy access.

Great accommodation. Comfortable room, great staff, good bathroom. They offer a bottle of water daily. Great location, easy to find by S. Zaccaria point. Close to San Marco. Good restaurants nearby. It was the first hotel to charge fairly for the breakfast in Italy. I would only recommend to have fruits. Other point to improve - the towels smell vinegar. I would totally recommend this hotel.
