"Allowed us early check in. Cottage was cute and clean. No AC so room stayed at 82F until early morning but a couple fans were provided. Views are spectacular. Easy access to trails. Lots of dining options. We ate at Harvey’s which was okay-trout was overcooked but seasoned well. Friendly service. "
"Thunderbird Lodge was the perfect location for our 3-night stay to visit the Grand Canyon. Our room was no more than 20 metres from the edge of the canyon itself and the South Rim Trail passes through the site of the village's main hotel / lodge area, so it's super easy to access the trail whenever you like. Staff were really friendly and we found the prices of food and gifts in the shops to be reasonable - especially given you're a captive audience!"
"El Tovar is a landmark and historical site. Watching the sunset and sunrise was magical. The food in El Tovar dining room was excellent we had Cobb salad and filet dinners and it was on par with anywhere. "
