Top Grand Canyon Backcountry Information Center Hotel Reviews
Red Feather Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We were booked to stay again inside the Grand Canyon NP but had to change due to the recent storms. We really enjoyed our stay at Red Feather Lodge - the room was big, clean with good amenities - coffee, tea and soft drinks were available 24 hours in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was really good having a a range of eating options in Yavapai with the convenience of a 5-minute drive to the park entrance. Although our stay wasn’t planned we really liked Red Feather Lodge and would definitely stay there again."
Grand Canyon Plaza Hotel-South Rim
8/10 Good
"We were scheduled to stay at Grand Canyon Village, but the flood damaged the water supply. Expedia got us rebooked to here and on arrival, we were upgraded to suites. Really enjoyed a nice dinner and drinks at the saloon."
Grand Canyon Hotel and Suites
10/10 Excellent
"Good and not so good so , read on. All of the staff were sweet , polite , friendly and extremely helpful. The property was very well maintained, clean and neat , but the parking was limited because all five of the canyon hotels are closed due to the water crisis, which explains why all of the outer canyon hotels are fully booked every day. According to the reports, the water service will be fully restored up in the Canyon to all facilities. Hotels restrooms, and watering stations by the end of September 2026, because engineers are already working on it. The continental breakfast was a great way to start your day before going up to the Canyon and even though there was only one egg option, in the way of a vegi Omelette, and no meat options at all, it was more than adequate to start your day fully fueled and ready to explore one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The dining area is huge, but always busy and full from 6:30 to 9:30, so get down there early. Now, for the not so good regarding the hotel. The air conditioner was inoperable when we arrived but they quickly replaced it after we reported the problem. The Direct TV cable service was useless and did not work at all throughout our 4 day stay. I highly recommend that you bring your streaming stick, like a Roku or Amazon Fire Stick as we did, to avoid problems and channel limitations. The free wifi was very strong and adequately supported our streaming stick phones and mobile devices."
The Grand Hotel at the Grand Canyon

"Clean place and great staff"
Wander Camp Grand Canyon
10/10 Excellent
"Pros: Glamping experience, comfy bed, sustainable, eco friendly, rustic and outdoor view. Sky at night is majestic. Not too cold at night. Showers, sinks, toilets and eating area around the natural environment with minimal noises except nature's. Con: small showers, very hot during the day, mosquitoes, ants, path to get there is totally off-road, the food truck sometimes is closed, not enough toiletries, tents are for two people at most. Overall pretty good facility for glamping."
Canyon Plaza Premier Studios and Apts

"It was a very small studio apt. For the price."
Bright Angel Lodge – Inside the Park
