Very nice town with friendly people. Zen Sushi is an awesome restaurant. China town has some good but a bit pricey dimsum. The harbor view is great but the people in visitor center is not really helpful. BC ferries experience is wonderful in general.

Public transportation was Great! For a group of 6 Not only did it save us $$ as opposed to guided transport, we didn't feel rushed. We used it to go to Buchart Gardens; on the way back we went to China Town for lunch and check out Fan Tan alley.

Victoria somehow manages to be one of the most walkable, cities I've ever been to, while also being very bike friendly, and as cities go, the easiest to drive in as well. Large trees, flowers, waterways, parks, and historical attractions abound.

Easy walking distance to a lot of amenities... shopping, reastaurants, sight seeing. Unfortunately, there is a large homeless encampment a few blocks up Pandora, which is rather unsightly. However, it is far enough away that you don't feel unsafe.

Victoria is a hidden gem and a short flight from the US. If you want to feel like you're in Europe and not make the long journey this is the place. From Seattle it's a 25 min flight! The perfect getaway spot. Christmas time is magical!

Beautiful city. Excellent for casual walks along ocean and harbour. Many shops catering tourists. Lots of local restaurants but not inundated by common fast food. Many good local coffee shops at more premium prices (not a complaint).

Victoria is very busy during the summer cruise season, but everyone is friendly & helpful. One of my favorite eats was Finn's on the wharf. Sundays be sure to catch the water taxi ballet at 945am.

Be sure to have a good walk through Beacon Hill Park. Beautiful park in the middle of the city. BONUS!! Dallas Road has spectacular views of the Ocean, and the clouds are ever-changing.
