Getting here by Uber from the airport took 1 hr due to traffic congestions in the late afternoon. But going to the airport in the early morning hour (before 6 am) took only 15 min. Overall, it was a nice stay and the hotel and room condition are as one would expect of a Holiday Inn Express. "

"My four-night stay at Hotel Don Ernesto La Chimba was wonderful, highlighted by the friendly staff and the absolutely excellent breakfast spread. The location is incredibly peaceful, tucked away in the jungle yet conveniently just 30 minutes from the airport. While some reviewers highlight that the rooms aren't Ritz-Carlton quality, I think it is important to note that the prices certainly reflect that, and the hotel offers tremendous value for an authentic and relaxing stay."
