Hotel Villa Cipressi - by R Collection Hotels

"We were two couples traveling together and we could not have been happier with our stay at the Hotel Cipressi. Upon arriving, we were told that there was a wedding and that we wouldn't be able to use the outside area, which I had read about in the reviews. I had, however, not worried too much about it as we were there starting on a Monday - thinking that weddings might not affect us as we weren't there on the weekend. There were two weddings during our stay. The woman at the front desk who checked us in told us that we would be able to use the facilities at the Royal Victoria or the Hotel Du Lac, both properties owned and operated by the same company. At first, we were a little put off, but then we realized that it was a quick and beautiful walk through the botanical gardens to the Royal Victoria, which we were able to access with the gate code given to us. It was perfect. We loved the beauty and quaintness of our hotel, and then we would walk over to the RV and enjoy its view, gardens, cocktail bar, and restaurant. It was the best of both worlds. We all agreed that we would not have changed a thing."

Best stay at a reasonable price!
"This is our second time staying here. We love the location, as it sits atop a wine bar. It is also close to some of the best food in Varenna. The host has always been nice, and he is easy to contact. We love this place and highly recommend it."
