"The room was kinda dirty, there was hair ball under the chair. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was only one wash cloth and we needed 2 because we had two people in our room. When i asked at the desk for another wash cloth they didnt have any more. House keepers did not come in to clean our room or bring fresh towels. I actually never saw a housekeeper there at all or a cleaning cart. The breakfast they had a waffle iron there, but it looked real dirty and black like it never got cleaned. They had yogurt, cereal, milk and sausage and scrambled eggs. The hotel is under new management and remodel. The showers were great and all. They had coffee maker, frig, blow dryer. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet here. Parking lot had lots of ciggerette butts on the parking areas it looked like people smoked and just threw butts on the ground. It would be better if they had a ciggarette stand to put out the butts, instead of on the ground and littering the parking areas. I the bathroom door knob was sticking and was hard to open bathroom door, had to have my roomate open door from outside it was very scary. I would say in fairness the place was ok and quiet for the most part. I hope the new owners will fix it up and it does have potential to be a nice place. "

Higgins Lake is a special place I had not heard of before our stay. We fell in love and will be back. The lake house was very clean and equipped with everything you might need. I highly suggest taking a long walk around the neighborhood and down to the lake. It is beautiful! Overall, I would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to a friend. "
