Although I visited in early April, it was quiet which was nice. The shuttle service is a bonus. It will take you to Grand Hirafu welcome center if your vibe is more happy-go-lucky. Hehehe. "We loved our room which overlooked the river. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially with overcoming the language barrier. It is really hard deciding on which ryokan to go to but if you're looking for a more intimate and traditional experience, this is a great option! They had a private onsen in our room, public baths seperated by gender, and four private baths as well. All of the facilities were beautiful and very clean!"

"This hotel is such a wonderful gem. Staff are super nice, rooms are very well-equipped, and the amenities are hands down the best. We booked a room with a private onsen which I highly highly recommend. It was so incredible after snowboarding all day and getting to relax in your own private onsen that has a view of the mountain. So beautiful. They have a locker room to store all your gear on the base floor that goes right out to the chairlift. So convenient. It's also in a great location, super close to restaurants and Ace Gondola. They gave us a bottle of champagne for our Anniversary which was so sweet. I guess other people say it seems old but I think it's super charming. I wouldn't stay anywhere else."
