"Very pleasant staff when arrived. Had to park on the street though as car park was full. The room had a smelly shower drain. ‘Dot’ attempted to fix it but decided to move us. Excellent and newly refurbished room on the top floor. Staff are so friendly and attentive. Nice continental breakfast. ‘Dot’ was working at breakfast too - nothing was too much trouble. This lady needs a promotion!! Thank you"

"Room was clean and well decorated. Was given upgrade to junior loft suite on arrival which was very nice and unexpected. Only ate in lounge, food tasty and portions were generous. Had room service at breakfast, can highly recommend the eggs Benedict and the breakfast baps were a good size. Rooms had everything you need. Did not use spa. Would definitely stay again for longer and have spa treatments. Staff were all very helpful and happy to help with any questions."

"We found the location of the hotel for a tourist 4 night short break to visit the Museum, library, Jewelry quarter and canal walks was excellent. The tram from New Street station was just a few stops arriving very close to the hotel. Most places we visited we could walk to, we also caught the bus from nearby Broad Street. Our room on the first floor was clean and comfortable. We didn't pay extra for a view but it was pleasant enough. I am quite picky about smaller details of room design that dont quite work or are missing, like hooks in the bathroom for hand towels or clothes, but had no complaints. We needed a few extra hangers which housekeeping promptly brought. A bit disappointed the TV wasn't smart, as we wanted to watch a series we are midway through, but not a problem. The staff were all friendly and helpful and worked hard to make us comfortable. We had breakfast included and it was definitely worth it. An excellent range of options, well cooked. The only missing ingredient was nuts, but lots of places don't have them due ro allergies. We heard others complimenting the breakfast too. We had one dinner in the hotel which was ok, but found better places to eat nearby, with Brindley Place surrounded by restaurants and bars and a lively nightlife at the weekend by the canal - not so close that it will disturb your sleep. There is also a small market on Saturday with handmade crafts and vinyl record sellers. Lovely weather made it a very pleasant stay."
