"We stayed here as a base for the Game Fair and it was a great location for that. We didn’t really explore the area much but we did get pizza from The Hertford which was good. There wasn’t any garden chairs and is it was lovely weather this was a bit amid a shame as the domino was in the courtyard a fair bit. The cottage was pretty, tidy, clean and cosy. No welcome package was a bit of a shame as this has become pretty standard for holiday cottages and the garden was overrun with bindweed...

"Having struggled to find accommodation that accepts four dogs, we were thrilled that The Barns allowed two dogs in each cottage. The Barns are set in the most glorious grounds and we loved walking up the long drive talking to the horses and sheep. Both the Coach House and Stables have been beautifully renovated to create very comfortable accommodation. Kerry, our host, was incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. "Amazingly clean and comfortable, especially nice to sit in the kitchen by the Aga and play games. Loads of space for all the family to spread out and be together and possibly one of the best properties for dogs that we've been to; especially the garden - perfect for whippet zoomies! Victoria was on hand and very helpful whenever we needed. We will definitely consider coming back again!"
