"The staff were excellent, the breakfast food was also really good. But I felt the property was a showing signs of lack of care. It was just small things, for example: the tables in the dining area were marble topped, most of which were visibly chipped. One of the blinds in the bedroom was frayed at the edges. The bathroom door was a sliding glass door which got stuck every time if you fully closed it. Once you spot one, the other little flaws become more obvious. In addition, our bedroom was located directly opposite the cleaning/linen room, the door to which was open for the duration of our stay. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Although it was facing the front of the building, which is on a main road. It would benefit from sound proofing. That said, the view across the park was really nice. The location is about 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre, and you can benefit from walking through the park part of the way. Overall, it was a nice stay. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and swift. I wouldn't class this as an exceptional stay though."

"The hotel was lovely, as were the staff. My concern is the parking, it’s not free even for guests. It is also very confusing, having arrived late and being unaware of the parking charges I am waiting to hear from the parking vendor about the late parking charges. It is only for the confusing and expensive parking charges that we won’t be staying here again. "

"The room was clean but there was an empty packet of Maryland’s under the bed. The Tv didn’t work and I only noticed about 3 hours into our arrival- no maintenance were in house so they offered a different room- but we had already unpacked, settled etc, my son was sleeping so was inconvenient to move. The pool was out of use 10-11am which was annoying and the hot tub was out of use the whole time. There was also no water in our fridge. With there being no phone in the room having to go down to reception felt like a chore every time so we didn’t bother. The location is good but I was misinformed on the phone about parking- she told me £12 but it’s actually £21.60. We still had a nice stay but there were a number of errors. "

"Ibis Cambridge iw so convenient to the train. Right next door. The staff met us kindly and took our bags until checkin so we could go explore. Our room was clean and quiet and quiet comfortable."

"Disappointed there was no full service spa as in the hotels description. This is the reason why we booked this hotel. Hotel staff were nice. Gym was ok although the treadmill base I used had a layer of engrained sticky dust / gunk on it, as well as over the floor corners and window sills. Pool was ok."

"Overall good experience we had a pleasant stay The hotel is conveniently located and the big bonus is the in house basement parking (at an extra cost ) a couple of comments Could not change settings on the Airconditioning ,the water bottles on a two night stay were not replenished same with towels ."

"Yes but the staff were not very customer friendly. The bed was very uncomfortable. When we checked out no questions asked how was your stay my husband asked where to leave the keys she said just there. Not acceptable we came all the way from London. It was suppose to be igh hotel. We would like a refund "
