"Family run hotel well-located near downtown (within walking distance) and natural/cultural attractions (St. Feriole Island). Within 10-20 minute drive of state parks (Wyalusing and Pikes Peak) and NPS Monument (Indian Effigy Mounds) in both Wisconsin and Iowa. A 10 minute walk to the Mississippi River. Very personable and helpful staff. Reasonable hot and cold breakfast choices included. Bar/restaurant located within the hotel with good selections. The facility is well-maintained and very clean. We would recommend a stay here while in the Prairie du Chien area. "
