"Lovely room and facilities staff not that friendly, had an issue at dinner I had pork belly which wasn't crispy and my friend for a bone in her fish. The manager Jose excuse was its because there Was a wedding on"

"The room was nice although the bed wasn't made properly. There was no shower gel. The desk chair was so low you could barely reach the desk. But it was comfortable and peaceful. The evening meal was a disappointment. Dessert (Crumble) was stone cold so clearly microwaved (barely). Awareness of diners was poor. A coke was brought that looked like dish water as the pump had presumably run out but the waiter had no idea why I didn't want it. The restaurant manager was disinterested about the stone cold dessert. The menu has gone downhill when it used to be close to fine dining. It's now barely dining. Earlier lunch was slow to arrive at 2.30pm (only a club sandwich) but at least the morning and lunchtime staff were good and largely attentive. The hotel aesthetics internally and externally are great. They are a better restaurant away (as it used to be 5 years ago) from being a good hotel. NB I emailed the hotel that evening. I am yet to receive a response either at checkout or the day after so far."

"The outside of the lodge is generally looking a little tired, inside is looking good. Maybe needing some new utensils and hob needed a good spruce up. Generally well stocked for a family, it let down with size of crock pot, if a family was using that to oven cook. Only one ovenware product. Excellent shower/bath facilities. Beds are extremely comfortable. WiFi can be a bit hit and miss, but you are provided with code and it is free. Local pub is within walking distance with children playground. This is recommended for all ages who love being in a rural setting and want to be able to tour around. A lovely setting. We will be back x"

"The lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed for a long weekend break.In this particular lodge there was a hot tub and sauna which was a welcome addition. Only one tiny niggle was the lack of coat hooks in the lodge as these would have been extremely helpful especially as it was a very wet weekend and we had been out walking with our dog everyday, twice a day. Bringing a torch is useful as itâ€™s very dark at night and helpful when going with the dog for his last comfort break of the day."

"Another great stay @ Tilford Woods Lodge Retreat. Everything you need all under one roof and the Hot Tub as always was a bonus. Our favourite place to unwind and relax every once in a while. We will be back and would recommend to anyone just wanting to escape the hustle and bustle. Lots to do in and around surrounding areas. Look forward to our next time @ Tilford Woods."

"From the moment we arrived, the host made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality and attention to detail really stood out. The property itself is absolutely stunning. It's set in a private, fenced area with a beautiful private garden. Its perfect for relaxation and enjoying some peaceful time. The whole setup offers excellent privacy and a real sense of retreat. The amenities were thoughtfully prepared, making our stay comfortable and convenient from start to finish. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a special getaway. Five stars!"
